Crafting dailies gold increase

I checked again today and each of my characters are earning exactly 5495 gold like other players have been reporting, which is more than they used to get.

I am on PCNA and not using any difficulty.

EDIT: The 5495 gold is not for each individual quest, but for all 7 combined.

I played ESO for the first time today since the update. The first thing I did was complete the daily writs, and I can confirm that the gold reward is higher (I don’t know the exact number, but it used to show 5,100 gold in the bottom right corner but today it shows 5,500 gold, rounded). This was the case for all 20 characters on my main account, and likewise for all 20 characters on my second account. All characters on both accounts have CP, for more gold and both accounts have ESO+.
On my third account, where I only have 10 characters and do only prov./alchemy/enchanting writs, and where I don’t have ESO+, the gold reward remained unchanged(if I remember correctly).

Have 20 max crafters plus 14 more on 2nd acct. All gold per max tier writ is/was identical for me since u50 vs before.

The amount of gold left on each char above default balance (10k gold for me) after turn in and loot deposit were mostly different because ornates are random. Sometimes auto sell the avg, but more, or rarely even zero ornates.

Is the OP sure they are not including ornate item sold gold? Exclusive of that, my per writ gold reward is unchanged.

What do you mean loot deposit? And ornates? The gold being referred to is how much gold we get when we turn in the quest. Whether or not we get ornates doesn't change that. And mine has increased on all of my characters.

We're all only counting the gold from the quest rewards, not from vendoring things.
For me (on PC/NA with ESO+ on max-level characters with the green CP for extra gold but not on an Imperial) pre-u50 it was 725 gold per quest. Now it's 785. I've got 60 max crafters across 3 accounts, and I haven't specifically tested each individual character, but I've tested multiple characters on each account, and it's the same on each of them: it's now 785 gold per quest turn-in (except for Imperials) instead of 725.

Recently we discovered that the bonus to gold was additive when it was meant to be multiplicative, so we've updated it so that the gold bonus is now... *checks notes* multipladditive.

For me, the value shown is 725, but the character gets 785.

I verified this yesterday while doing my daily crafting writs: every writ rewarded 785g on each of my characters (PCNA). So the increase definitely seems to be in effect.

Imma blame Dolgubon for being awesome. I never see the turn in screen so I had to turn the addon off and manually do them on my main crafter this AM in order to see this.

This is an 8400g (non imperial, green CP yes, ESO+ yes, ornate irrespective, 20 max crafters) daily gift horse and I totally shouldnt have said anything.

This looks like a bug at least on PCNA from what I've seen in this thread so far.

Thanks everyone for looking into this

Good to know, thank you. Guess tomorrow I will pay even closer attention on PSNA. Because while I do havev Dolgubon's LWC automatically deposit gold received and reports the amout to my chat window, I don't know whether it aggregates the amount from what was received (which I've always assumed) or by what the quest states as the reward. The total reported to me by LWC tracks with what I should be receiving as per the quests, so tomorrow I will monitor actual coin coming in each time I turn one in.

I manually deposit the gold and now I have to check for some auto deposit settings. Ty lol

I only noticed because typing 5075 (to keep 0 gold on every character at all times) was muscle memory and I hover over inventory insights on my main afterwards to double check that I didn't forget or fat finger something. I had a bunch of characters with 420 on them so I went back through and deposited all of it, then waited for day 2 to confirm. I did all the overland difficulty changes/settings tests on day 2 as well.

I wonder what the code is doing there.

So, I've been following this, and until this post I was of the opinion that it was something else happening. The reason being, LWC asks the game 'how much gold will you get for completing this Quest.'
So (when the game is working right) there is no way for LWC to get the amount of gold recieved wrong. (Or at least, not in a partial way like that) But it seems like ZOS has messed up, and the answers to 'how much gold will I get for this Quest's and 'how much gold did I just get' is incorrect. In that screenshot, the dialogue is showing the first, and the chat output is showing the second. Imo I think it's something ZOS will need to fix, and I don't see it as a bug in LWC.

Sorry for giving you the runaround. I was only trying to compliment your addon with some tongue in cheek dumbness when I said I blamed you, not that the addon was bugged. my bad lol

The chat printout was from a clothier writ and the quest turn in is for a blacksmith writ about 3 seconds later.

It's 100% a bug in the game and not in the addon as I had LWC completely disabled. I think that output is from LUI Extended and its getting the actually received amount correct. I put a post in the bug forum but who knows if they'll see it. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the extra gold but I don't know what that's going to do to the economy in a month or two. Who knows how much extra gold that's going to translate to in an entire realm of people doing writs everyday.

I can not imagine spending all that time and effort to make 20 Max level crafting toons. And then ALL of them get to do their crafting Every day. So the rest of the day is used trying to generate enough Mats to keep these guys happy or does that cost gold ?

When would I have time to play the game?

I have 8 characters, all max crafters. It takes me about 25 minutes to do the daily writs on all of them so I have plenty of time for other things. I get all the mats I need from the surveys I get from doing writs.

I've got 60 of them across 3 accounts. It didn't happen overnight, though, I've been playing for 12 years. I just kept feeding dropped gear/glyphs from all my characters to the next one in line to level the crafting skills one by one until they were all done, other than provisioning & alchemy which are super quick and easy to power level.

But no, I do not do writs on all of them every day. I go through phases of not bothering to do any writs and phases of doing a bunch of writs (rarely on all of them in a single day unless it's the anniversary event). When I do writs it's usually either first thing in the morning before work while I'm eating breakfast and watching Youtube, or during work while I'm waiting for queries to execute, so either way it doesn't cut into my actual playing time because I wouldn't be doing anything during that time unless it's something I can do on autopilot without paying much attention.

And I never have to farm mats. I just collect all my hireling mails (which I get on all 60 characters every day), and I tend to harvest whatever is on my way when I'm out and about doing questing or whatever in the world. Plus, writs give you mats back: depending on the type of writ they can give you more mats back than you put in. If I do happen to run low on something (which really only ever happens with platinum ounces), or if there's a challenge (or previously an endeavor) to harvest mats, I just do some of the surveys that pile up when I do writs.

I do my daily writs on 10 crafters every day. Takes just under 30 mins, so it's something I typically knock out while sipping my morning coffee before going to work. I have another 5 lowbie crafting alts, but those only get used during events like Jubilee where the daily writs produce event boxes.

As for the mats.. Every other week or so I set aside time to take all the surveys I've collected and knock them out. I always find myself swimming in mats and am never in danger of runniing out. Even while maintaining a steady tempo of completing Master Writs, I still have a surplus of gold mats to sell on the traders as well. The one exception being the occasional mudcrab chitin, but I can buy a couple stacks of that on the traders to get me by for a couple months or so.

    Same here

I only really have problems keeping oko, mudcrab chitin, and platinum. Everything else piles up. Like why do I have 172 Unknown Alchemy Writs? lol

I have more surveys than I know what to do with too: like 680ish unidentified reports and i have literally no idea but way more than that of the old kind (I am too lazy to add them up). Whenever I get low, I spend a few hours burning through enchanter/Jewelry surveys and an hour or so farming chitin. If I dont have a free hour or two, I just buy the mats because each day is 100k gold from the turn ins on 20 crafters. I don't like doing that though.

I do this with 7 characters (that's enough, I don't think I could bear to do more daily... thank god for the Lazy Writ Crafter). The survey maps for resources keeps you solvent not a problem. So -> Daily writs -> Master Writs -> Survey Maps is the daily routine. Some days are busier than others. I can't imagine doing this on 20 characters.

I once had 20, but two characters are on permanent reroll duty now. So I just do dailies on 18 characters. It usually goes by pretty quick, but often times you're chatting in guild chat and/or hopping onto characters to help guild mates, so it often takes longer.

The majority of the community owes a debt of incalculable gratitude to Dolgubon and other add on developers for their efforts to make the process smoother. It would be great actually if those of us who benefit from LWC were to take this small unexpected gain and send it along to Dolgubon at the end of the week/month as a small token of that gratitude.

Today I took the time to pay close attention on PSNA. Nothing new to add, just confirming PSNA results. I did spreadsheet the results though. In the screenshot below, Yellow are my max level crafters with the Imperial noted. The rest are low level alts only there to compare increase to show that it's a percentage based increase and not a flat amount.

[edit[ I think the imperial anomaly that there's no increase in the bonus gold is because the payout of each individual turn-in would result in a .6 gold difference and thus get's dropped instead of rounded.

I still do writs manually since I don’t understand how the alchemy mats are chosen for the addon, and I was getting 5.1k gold per character before u50 and now I get 5.5k gold each. I had eso plus before and after the update.

I thought it might be due to the automatic difficulty setting of master for each character originally, but after changing it to Adventurer the value is the same.

Was wondering if anything else got changed. Looks like trait research times got reduced also. A character with 0 points in research took 19 days to do a ninth trait.
