Normal Cyro Population Caps, random points

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the way I understand it is ZOS throughout time has slowly decreased the population caps on Cyro, while introducing more and more bloated abilities and sets into the game. The scapegoat is performance, but none of said bloat has been blamed.. the real question, what landed us at the 360 cap?

I doubt I’m alone in this thought, but I would struggle through so called performance issues if we raised the cap back up to say 600.

Get rid of the hammer, it’s the single most reason why people amass into one spot which creates spikes, much like PvE writhing wall dolmens during the event I’d like to point out, not specific to PvP.

Also, when crossplay does drop, do we think ZOS will have to update hardware? If so, great. If not, does that mean they’ll be adding more campaigns? I think for the most part we’re all bought in on the refreshes and excited to see where the game goes, but without knowing ZOS intention on the future of Cyrodiil it’s hard to really just full on invest into ESO.

My favorite outcome, is after the refreshes, ZOS upgrades hardware, we get crossplay, we get Scourge and Haderus alongside GH and Vengeance all with increased pop caps.

Positive thinking.

Some good and interesting thoughts here. The Hammer is for sure biggest lagmister in any campaign from my experience followed by 2 or more ball groups popping up at the same location.

With all the back and fourth I hadn't even considered the impact of cross play on it all. Surely they will need at least 1 maybe more campaign options once they throw us all in the same pool.

I don’t like that I have to suggest that cause overall the hammer has been a pretty fun addition, but in my experience it is the biggest culprit to stacking the population in one spot on the map.

I am really curious about server upgrades with crossplay, I’m not a tech minded person but I can’t imagine the current systems would thrive with crossplay. Here’s to hoping they invest in upgrades cause I imagine when crossplay goes live they will get a big influx of new/returning players.
