From the Update 50 patch notes: "After 12 years in Tamriel, we are in the process of modernizing the audio mix of ESO. We are excited for you all to hear the changes, but be aware that due to these adjustments some of the sound levels in game might be different from what you are accustomed to. This is a large scale work in progress, so please bear with us! We plan to discuss these updates in detail in a future developer deep dive article."

I noticed the bards audio as soon as I entered the Rosy Lion. I like the change. It makes it sound more like they're singing in a tavern - more distance and room acoustics taken into account.

I also noticed some reverb when deconstructing gear.
