Not sure if this was intended, but some 'boss' enemies in quests have waaaay too much health now. I dont need or want to spend 10+ minutes killing an enemy in a solo quest because they have 1million or more health. I encountered it frequently during the Harborage main quest. Regular bosses often had 200k+ health and some others had 1mil to 2mil health. That is just not reasonable for solo play. I was on a sub-50 character also if that helps.
There was a bug with the new optional difficulty system that set characters to 'master' rather than leaving them at what is meant to be the default 'adventurer.' Did you check to make sure your character wasn't set to a higher difficulty because of this bug? If you were affected, you can change it back down to 'adventurer', although you will have to change it to 'seasoned' or 'vestige' first in order to have it take proper effect. (It's a weird bug.)
No, the difficulty settings do not impact the actual health values of enemies. It just changes player damage input/output.
Mine was definitely on Adventurer at the time. I had tested other difficulties but chose to not use them while trying to get through quests quickly.
I was seeing actual health values in the million to 2 million on the enemy health bars. One example is a Titan found in one of the Harborage quests had 1.5 million. Molag Ball in the final Harborage quest had 2 million health.
Not sure if this related - or if my mind played tricks on me or if this just an addon messing up.
Sometimes when I encounter a standard delve boss, they seem to have millions of health, which drops to the usual health of 100-300k in a fraction of a second.

Are you talking about the final stage of the Molag Bal story?
If this is the final part where you sacrificed a companion and are using the Amulet of Kings, those bosses do have increased health. You are also doing 10 times your normal damage and he barely damages you. BTW, The Molag Bal fight used to take 30 or more minutes but it was nerfed.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
