Need help putting together a new pure arcanist beam build after nerfs to annsul's+tideborn+velothi

First off, I want to be using the newly buffed class set Spattering Disjunction. I have to pair it up with a trial set but don't know which one. I have Ansuul and Null Arca, I don't know if Riptide would be better than both. Do I still keep velothi on? And also for the backbar I currently have perfected maelstrom 2h with stampede. Should I switch to maelstrom inferno staff and elemental blockade?

As far as I’m aware no nerf to malestrom so back bar with stampede is still great.

Null arca is the set to go with for single target. But you will be missing out on multi target damage.

As you already noted sets like coral riptide is going to be a viable replacement instead. But I do like the idea of easy set and forget with null arca rather then having to do the stamina mini game.

Huntsman and the shattered path signet are other mythics to consider for u50. Some builds put together with shattered path signet doing massive damage. However maybe magika only focus

What nerf? 7% if using the 3 is not a "nerf" just an adjustment. Also the Ansuul interrupt got a HUGE buff. 30 seconds and bigger bonus.
Still they are ahead of other sets and most importantly, totally relaxed without counters and minigames.

I am still using them and haven't seen any meaningful difference to change

They already buffed Empower on PTS to partly make up for the change, so it may be worth waiting to see if they adjust these other sets, as well, even though they indicated they seem to think they're fine as they are on the current PTS build.

Alot of the sets didn't get nerfed they got buffed. What was nerfed is the scaling went from multiplicative to additive but with class mastery and set buffs, my dps increased, so its not really a nerf.

    Spattering Disjunction Body
    Null Arca Frontbar
    Velothi
    1 pc Slimecraw
Maelstrom Two-handed Backhand (Or Inferno Staff if Stampede is out of question)

    Pure Class Masteries:
    30% more dmg one
666 spell dmg on ult (you can run ink-scribes-verve for group support/solo inistead)

You can play with the other flail morph backbar and runeblades (in addition to beam) frontbar, if you want to maximize dps- don't do that however, when running ink-scribe's verve, because cephaliarcs flail heal is strong for keeping up major force

gonna be honest, you dont seem to understand what exactly was changed about the sets, but if your understanding of the changes are that they were nerfed so badly they are not worth using... and yet you still require input from others to find an alternative... i gotta ask... have you even tested to see how much worse/better your current setup is or are you just looking to be told what to do? I ask as respectively as I can I don't mean to be rude I just want to understand your thought process.

Not the original poster but ... it is expensive to gold out multiple sets, time-consuming if you need to farm pieces you do not have or hunt down mythic leads you need, and then it is super tedious to parse on a 21m target dummy over and over to get a feel for average DPS, then mix and match with other new sets and parse again. If someone has already done this work and the information is available out there, what is point of going through all that?

Like if I want a car with better gas mileage, should I rent a whole bunch of cars that sound like they might be good, then do my own extended tests of long drives and different gasoline and so on, until I find which of these many permutations is best? Or should I just check Consumer Reports or EPA or some other group that has likely run these tests already?
