Class Mastery Passives

I spent the past 2 days leveling Class skill lines on 2 characters that still needed it. Now that I have that done I have no idea which would be the best passives to use. I am not a theorycrafter so that is not an option for me.

Does anyone have any advice on which passives would be best for damage dealers of all the classes?

If you really run out of ideas, you can still watch the builds by Alcast. No idea if they are good, but there are finished builds with those passives.

Alcast is almost useless, try Hyperioxes, HacktheMinotaur, Skinny Cheeks or perhaps even Xynode. Almost everything is better than Alcast.

Hehe, thx. :) I never take a look at those things, so Alcast was the only one I knew. :D I just tried Hyperioxes, looks goot. Maybe I'll give this a try for my DDs.

I really like these passives (at least the sorc ones) as they provide a bit of everything. I went with pure DD ones for now, but I think under some situations I may even switch around to get more resources. Since we can only have 2 out of 5, I expect these will be changed as majority of players will end up picking the same ones and make other ones generally unused. But that's the case with Champion Points too...

thats the case with EVERYTHING 😂 , everyone running around on the same build 80% of the time you hardly ever have a class with 3 or 4 good builds its always RUN THIS OR DONT RUN , EVERYTHING IS THE SAME BECAUSE EVERYONE WANTS TO BE META SO THEY CAN PLAY THE GAME WITHOUT FEELING THEY WILL BE BELITTLED OR NOT LET TO DO SOMETHING

the bad thing is zos plays into this too by never making CP , PASSIVES, that match the power of each other but for different things ( flame / lighting / frost/ poison ) nor reworked a large group of sets that help support an healthy diversity

I've tried builds from all those players before. I used to use Alcast a lot but lately I find that Hack the Minotaur's builds fit my playstyle well. I wasn't sure if any of them had recommendations for these yet.

I'm still confused on how these are applied, too. Do we just put points in what we want with no need to slot them anywhere, like our current passives?

    Yes, just like regular passives.

Once all your Class Skill Lines are level 50 you unlock the Mastery Passives, there should be something that says Class Mastery or something under the last Line for your Class. So like for Templar it would be Aedric Spear, Dawn's Wrath, Restoring Light, Class Mastery. There you can select up to two, and they don't cost Skill Points or anything.

Many of them will upgrade certain Passives from your Skill Lines. Using Templar as an example again, Bright Harbinger: Upgrades rank 2 of Illuminate to also grant Bright Harbinger for the duration, which grants 300 Weapon and Spell Damage to allies and doubles for you (600). An example for Nightblade would be Hemorrhage: Upgrades rank 2 of Hemorrhage to have a chance to generate 2 Ultimate. This effect can occur once every 0.3 seconds and the chance is equal to your Weapon Critical chance.

I personally don't know which ones are better for each Class for DPS but I know a few at least:

DK: Wildfire Embers- When your Dragonknight damage over time effects end, you apply Wildfire Embers to the target, Base damage is 10.5% of your Weapon or Spell Damage and 1% of your Max Magicka or Stamina per tick. This effect stacks up to 12 times and increases in damage by 25% per stack and Inexorable Descent- Improves your Landslide passive to increase the potency of your damage done, healing done and damage shield strength by 1% per stack

NB: An Eye for Exploitation- Increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by up to 2000, based on your target's missing Health. Also reduces your damage taken by up to 20%, based on your attacker's missing Health and then either Nocturnal Inspiration- Upgrades rank 2 of Hemorrhage to have a chance to generate 2 Ultimate. This effect can occur once every 0.3 seconds and the chance is equal to your Weapon Critical chance or Above and Beyond- Increases your Critical Damage and Healing by 25% (halved against players). Also increases your maximum Critical Damage and Healing cap by 30%.

Sorc: Font of Power- Upgrades rank 2 of Exploitation on to work with any Sorcerer ability and increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by 1% for 10 seconds. Increases by 1% for every 1750 Max Magicka or Stamina you have, whichever is higher and either Conservation of Energy- Upgrades rank 2 of Blood Magic to work with any ability that has a cost, and restores 2% Magicka and Stamina when it activates. Scales off your Max Magicka and Stamina. Cost-per-tick abilities are excluded or Static Reverberation- Static Reverberation: This harkens to an ancient passive (Implosion). This passive causes your damaging attacks to have 5% chance to trigger an additional hit of Shock Damage (31.5% of the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage), up to once every 300ms. The proc chance is increased by 1% for every 1% missing Health the target has.

Templar: Bright Harbinger- Upgrades rank 2 of Illuminate to also grant Bright Harbinger for the duration, which grants 300 Weapon and Spell Damage to allies and doubles for you (600) and Judgment's Brand- When rank 2 of Burning Light deals damage, your Templar abilities gain 1400 damage done for 3.1 seconds. Halved against players (700).

For the other Classes honestly it should just be a matter of looking for whichever ones either give you some sort of damage boost or upgrade one of their normal Passives to do so.

Edit: I didn't sleep at all last night so for some reason I used info from ESO-Hub rather than the Patch Notes, and some of ESO-Hub's info is still outdated and what we saw from the PTS. The info here now should all be the correct stuff from U50.

They tend to be pretty self-selecting if you read what they do. Templar for example has one that is clearly damage proc focused, one that buffs damage so you can take it for DPS or healer, and 3 that make you tankier and don't add to your dps.

I'd just pick whichever ones clearly help your DPS skills and passives.
