Oh how the tables have turned!
In 2024 I was writing here how I was actively discouraging friends from trying ESO due to bad performances, bugs, the absence of crossplay and cross progression and whatnot.
Today my words to them are "YOU HAVE TO TRY ESO, NOW!"
I was used to having visual/performance issues after updates on console. Today I found myself asking me "wait...is this ESO?" - It looks and performs waaay better than before! I don't know If it implemented FSR4.1 or what but in Performance mode it's phenomenal! No more low res in sight. Stable high fps. Everything seems improved a lot. Even all audio changes are for the good!
Challenge difficulty? It's awesome! Honestly I wasn't expecting it to feel this good. It refreshes the game - a new, very much appreciated experience.
Let add-ons authors get their share of praises because the game alone still isn't perfect, but they definitely helped in making me fall in love with ESO.
As an Oakensoul user I am shouting from joy for the nice and much needed buff
As a Warden main I am just a bit afraid for the upcoming class refresh, but if what I've experienced today represents the quality of what's to come - people, jump on board! ESO is back and more awesome than ever!

✭✭✭Great positivity but just a note—they buffed Empower because they changed how effects with "damage done to monsters" (like Empower) interact in a way that reduced their overall damage output. They buffed Empower back up to compensate (since it was indirectly nerfed)—so if you feel stronger, great! If not, or not in all cases, that would be why.PC-NA

YESSS!!! So it was not my imagination!
I was going to write in the OP that it felt like a generational leap in graphics but I thought maybe it would be exaggerated... It really feels like a new game on XBOX!

I think ti may be a case of optimization of old hardware: if you are used to playing on a PC with, let's say, an RTX 4070 you are probably already playing with everything at max settings.
A 2020 console hardware (or GPU) can see improvements over time due to better software optimization, which will likely pass as unnoticeable/less noticeable on more powerful hardware.
EDIT - btw, one thing I don't like about Patch Notes is that they tend to focus on the PC experience. Even when we got them separated in the past, Console patch notes used to note PC only fixes, and many console only improvements weren't even mentioned - never understood this. We got so much variety of builds we can make and play now might even make some new characters
