Dealing ZERO damage in COMBAT!

What's the deal? I know the game was updated with different difficulty levels - but am I supposed to deal zero damage?

Seems to be a bug, the setting is automatically set to a higher difficulty and can't changed back atm.

There is a workaround for the time being.

Change your difficulty to Seasoned or Vestige first. Then waiting out the cooldown. You should be able to change it to Adventurer.

@HannDrake We are aware of the bug. We are investigating what is causing it. Changing difficulties may resolve the issue.

Someone in one of the discords reported that it is possible to have multiple difficulty levels selected to the point that the game rounds down the damage to zero.

I shudder to think what issues might crop up when crossplay goes live.

You can, but the 'cog' icon is invisible.

You have to 'hover' the mouse cursor where it should be - top right corner of the post, to the left of the post #; when you see the label 'options' pop up, you can click and select 'edit'.

If is a thread rather than a post then hover the mouse to the right of the thread title, first you will see the 'bookmark' label appear, move the cursor a bit further right and you will see the 'options' label appear, click and select 'edit'.

I have a different version of this bug, sure it was set to master on default, but i had plans on playing on vestige anyway so wasnt a problem. On my sorc and arcanist that i had time to play on yesterday I played on vestige with no problem, loved it.

Today, however, I logged in my nb, yes he was also on master as default, i changed it to vestige and fought some trash mobs in reapers march, I dealt 0 dmg to them and they oneshotted me. I changed difficulty to adventurer, managed to kill 3 skeevers, but just barely. Seems something is way off atm. On my nb, adventurer difficulty feels like vestige on my sorc/arca.

Id like to add that relogging for 15 minutes or so, fixed it for my nb.

It would be somewhat inconsequential in the great scheme of things given that these settings do not apply to dungeons/arenas/trials etc but somewhat amusing, at least to me, if this 'stacking challenge levels' - or whatever is causing it - that leads to the damage output being rounded to zero did a 'division by zero' or some other 'trickery' instead that lead to infinite damage both ways

Whomever - player or hostile NPCs - get the first 'shot' in wins.

Infinite XP and gold gain would be a little bit more game-breaking so probably not that.

EDIT: Had to because is impossible to tell which noun, adjective or verb the forum will consider inappropriate next...

Hi , how come this is immediately acknowledged where as there is no response to the under 50 battle ground bug we have been telling about so many times, do you only consider some players, i have been playing this game since launch and yet there is no response?
