Justice for Duke Sebastien

As those of us who have played the Glenumbra questline know, Duke Sebastien of Camlorn was unfortunately bitten by a werewolf and unwillingly given the gift/curse of lycanthropy. If we opt to kill Gloria Fausta for her blood, he can be cured. If you do cure him, he pops up again throughout the rest of the Daggerfall Covenant questline. If we opt not to kill her, we can stop the Duke from killing his wife and daughter and end with the dialogue line, "We'll continue to look for a way to cure you." Then there is just no reference to this guy again, ever.

That was twelve years ago.

Please, ZOS. I didn't think Gloria deserved to die just for being a descendant of Faolchu so I declined to trade life for life when the choice arose, but I also think Duke Sebastien's twelve years as a werewolf is more than enough punishment for the poor guy. Can we please get a quest to cure him? Or even a line of dialogue that when we killed Faolchu his curse decayed over time and all his werewolf offspring are now free, or something?

In the same vein, please never release Finedrin from the stocks. He is clearly never going to show proper repentance

Actually there is a secret way of sparing him and getting him "cured"

1) dont kill Gloria and say the duke is to die

2) Dont kill the duke.

Both live and you'll see the duke in Camlorn Castle Cured and alive

I had read here that other options were available so I encouraged the hubby to not make the sacrifice in his playthrough. I was disappointed to have the whole quest left hanging with no resolution as well.

That is wild, but presumably unintended. Still, I'll be trying this on my next run!

I’m just sitting here thinking about how my one character played this quest in my mind versus how it’s actually written.

Ragnar’s got the blood of a werebear in him, but he doesn’t know it. But he’s always been a little too interested in werecreatures, especially for a Skaal.
After he left Skaal village, he ended up shipwrecked on Stros and ran the DC line up through Glenumbra. But with the werewolf threat from Camlorn, and the fact that he actually has fought werewolves before, he’s a natural fit. He takes out Duke Sebastien once he transforms and attacks his family, and then Ragnar and Gloria lead the hunters into Camlorn. I think I may even have cut Gloria’s family history and made it that she has a wyrd-blessed medallion instead.
However, Ragnar gets more than he bargained for when fighting Faolchu and gets infected. He then meets Hircine himself who finally offers him his heart’s secret desire: to unlock the beast blood he had inside him and become the werebear he was born to be. And he loves it.
Unfortunately, he finds later that giving himself to the beast comes with downsides when he and Gloria go into Angof’s lair to end the Stonethorn Cult. The full moons come out and Hircine calls Ragnar to hunt… and once he takes out Angof, he turns on Gloria and tears out her throat before she can react. And then he is hit with the gravity of what he did, and he runs off into the forest, losing himself to the bear for almost a year… until a Reach witch named Sibellec can help connect him to his lost humanity.
