Weekly Chores / Tome Points

I was told you can only carry over 2,000 Tome points after Season Zero completes.
So if I already have every single reward from the 12 pages, and over 3,000 points left of which I will lose all but 2,000 anyhow - is there any reason to do any more weekly chores?

You'll get 10 gold for tome point over 2000. If you don't find that worth the effort, then no.

Yep, you're free to enjoy whatever you want to do in the game without feeling FOMO over chuffing dailies.

    It's frickin awesome isn't it?

Its not a lot of gold, but its still nice we at least get something. I still do the weekly tasks even thought Ive completed all of the Tome pages. Some of the tasks are fun and enjoyable and I think they will expand upon this in the future

I only entertain picking flowers and digging for rocks after the cap. That way I get flowers and rocks with some gold after the season. No way I go after anything else (but I don't like group/grind content anyway.)

    To be honest:

I think that one should be able to spend excess tome points on Seals. after all, the Tome system is replacing the Endeavours system, whose rewards were Seals of Endeavour.

There's an item I'm wanting to buy, which costs 16k seals... I'm at over 15k seals... but, *for a month now, and there's still another month or so to go*, I have literally no way of acquiring even 1 more seal, let alone enough to get me over the 16k. I'm at a dead end.

Too many currencies in this game. I don't understand what is the reason for this.

Because when you have a bunch of things that people can get rewards from, having them all be the same currency means it becomes a lot harder to afford numerous things. But also having different currencies means people need to do a variety of content if they want to be able to get X or Y. If one could buy everything for Gold, for example, not only would everything become harder to afford but it would also mean one wouldn't need to engage with as much of the game. Currently we have:

    AP from Cyro
    TV from IC
    Keys from Undaunted
    Seals from Challenges/Pursuits
    Fortunes from IA
    Points from Tomes
    Vouchers from Master Writs
Gold in general from most things
    Trade Bars from various things
Crown Gems from converting unwanted/dupe stuff from Crates
Crowns from irl money/the occasion promo or something

I'm not counting Transmutes because those are more of a material than a currency. For everything else it makes sense for there to be a different currency. The CS requires premium currency instead of Gold because you have to spend real money. Crown Gems exist to give you a (minimum admittedly) return back on things from Crates you may not need or want.

One might ask "why not have AP for both IC and Cyro" but then you run into the issue of people losing potentially hundreds of thousands of AP. The whole "you can lose part of your currency" part of IC means it kind of needs its own or else people can lose currency that has nothing to do with that activity. Who'd want to lose like 500k Gold to a ganker, if IC used Gold as its currency?

Really I think the only thing that could be converted to another currency would be Keys to Gold, and let people buy whatever Monster stuff for Gold. People are already running Dungeons for a number of reasons that Undaunted stuff doesn't really need its own currency.

Seals were introduced largely as a means of getting around any potential issues regarding Crates iirc. I think there were laws or the possibility of laws banning systems where you can't earn rewards and instead have to buy them but without the guarantee of getting anything of value (aka gambling basically). Seals mean people have a way of earning stuff from Crates directly, which prevents Crates from being 100% gambling. I don't see Seals going anywhere anytime soon.

Because Seals are meant for buying Crate things directly, it makes sense they can't be used for other things. Trade Bars offer more rewards in general for doing X or Y things and are like the general reward currency, especially now that they've replaced Tickets for the Impressario. You get Tome Points for the Tome because it's a Season Pass thing and letting people unlock those rewards for Gold or another currency kinda defeats the purpose of it.

Fortunes and Writs reward you for doing very specific tasks and Writs especially give Crafters another way to earn Furnishing Plans without having to spend the Gold they otherwise would put towards materials for making stuff.

Not sure I follow how that is reasoning for too many currencies when the whole point a currency in general is "trade" and thus why does that matter in any way what you buy or sell with it? Unless this is game is designed to be ForEx Simulator: Tamriel Edition.

Seems PVP currency is more the issue then just have PVP points and have Gold for trade. Makes no sense to me outside code-copying and likely bloat.
