Companions with Helmets

It’s been awhile since the last statement we got regarding companions with helmets… it is still something wanted.

With all of the restructuring at ZOS the past year, is this something we could see some flexibility on?

Each companion has a unique personality to them, I feel that having an uncovered face is unnecessary when it comes to identifying them for those truly looking, at the same time, I don’t want to identity a clone of my companion, or multiple clones of them simply by their hair style.

I get that some people like to see their companion’s face, I’m not one of them.

All I’m asking for is the choice.
Dragon Priest [Restoring Light, Draconic Power, Grave Lord]
Death Knight [Grave Lord, Winter’s Embrace, Siphoning]
Pyromancer [Ardent Flame, Dawn’s Wrath, Earthen Heart]
Summoner [Living Death, Grave Lord, Daedric Summoning]
Ranger [Animal Companions, Green Balance, Shadow]
Druid [Earthen Heart, Animal Companions, Stormcalling]
Elementalist [Stormcalling, Winter’s Embrace, Ardent Flame]
Dawnguard [Dawn’s Wrath, Restoring Light, Ardent Flame]

even if they just let us use the unique styles we gotten from event styles and monster set bosses would be cool anything to help set them apart from a 100 others

Not that I disagree, but before helmets I'd rather see the possibility to change their hair styles with any we have unlocked.

It would indeed be lovely to be able to use headgear on companions (hairstyles, circlets, hats, helms). ESO's mantra is 'play how you want', - NOT 'play how other players or the devs want you to play'.

We have had countless RIGID design choices that were preserved for over a decade now being walked back by the Class Reworks. I see no reason why something so minor of a change, yet so abrasive of a problem… could not also be revisited.

Based on the dev quote above, it would appear that their preference is 'play how we want'. If so, they should change the game's mantra from 'play how you want'. I don't mean to snark at our wonderful devs, but I really feel that considerations about 'companion identity' belong with the player. Besides, putting a helm on my companion doesn't change her identity anymore than putting a helm on my player changes her identity. And, has been brought up many times, seeing numerous obvious Mirri's at a populated area does not enhance the identity of my Mirri. I urge the devs to please reconsider their position. :)

You tell me? XD I "married" Isobel to have her in that outfit at home? Oh c'mon!
Want to see her hairs "untied" and with a more proper costume, for which I paid.

(Btw, didn't mean to be rude. "Jokey" speech is difficult to pass via typing XD)

We can't hear other people's companions, and we can mute our own. Their identity is a subject of their own personal quests, and otherwise as irrelevant as the player chooses.

    So let us choose.

Please unlock all appearance collectible options for companions. Skins, polymorphs, personalities, etc. All character bound so each of our characters can customise their own version of the companion.

Individual Role players will have a new depth, groups will look more visually interesting, and the value of collectibles increases which may encourage people to buy more.

Everyone wins and no-one looses anything from this small chance.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

TBH when it comes to companions the no. 1 improvement for me would be for them to have their own inventory. I'm tired of carrying their stuff, including the equipped gear...

Now that you mention this... Bastian in the Soulrazer Knight Polymorph would be a perfect cosplay, like going around with Full Metal Alchemist's Alphonse at your side.

While this would be cool; I would be okay with starting at helmets. 😁
