Maelstrom Arena: A QoL Suggestion

Not counting the Arena Weapons there are 6 full sets, none of which are anything to write home about, but they are there none the less.

MA, can be a slog especially for those of us who are not fans of the arena format. Even running it on normal takes a chunk of time, and to complete all 6 of those sets takes 90 runs - as only a single weapon piece drops from only the last chest.

@ZOS please consider changing the stage reward chests to have a chance to drop weapons as well as armour/jewellery. It's a heck of a grind for newer players

    ESO already has more than 3,000 different items, and people only use the meta builds or get kicked if they don't. Why do we need even more items? To play solo? Then just use any of the 3,000 items that are already in the game.
    Why ask the team to spend time, money, and resources adding more nonsense to the game? Ask them to fix the game instead.

    I'm pretty sure the OP meant add weapons from the existing sets to the stage chests, as opposed to only at the end.

    Yeah, there are 6 sets in there, all obviously designed to provide survivability for the arena itself. But even by the time you've farmed all the Maelstrom Weapons (normal and perfected both), you're still sitting on an around 45 uncollected general set pieces (average of about 9 per set).

    Weapons and jewelry could use some added drop points within the arena.

    being how many times ive ran VMA this is an non issue for me but i do think it would be nice if all armor is collected jewelry and weapons should start dropping after round 5 every other round there after and for vet give out 2 weapons ontop of the VMA WEAPON .... by the time you collect all VMA WEAPONS you should have your stickerbook full thats how i feel about it

    Personally I wouldn't call this a QoL improvement but more a design change concerning arena drops.

    Comparing this with trials where weapons and jewelry can drop from chests and very rarely from trash mobs it seems to be a justified adjustment to give the arena weapons similar drop chances.

    I agree with OP and some of the other suggestions. MA needs to be a bit more generous with the set items each run.

    Please, ZoS, do the same for all other places as well!
    And since I already have all trial items, go ahead and add Infinite Archive gear to the Trials too. Let's make the game easier for everyone and even more rewarding!
    And please, please, ZoS, make mudcrabs drop perfected trial\Arena\Monster sets... items as well. And while we're at it, let the Wolfs drop dungeon items too. Why stop there? Why not?

    This would be nice. Maelstrom has six sets aside from the Maelstrom weapons; even trials only have four sets, and they drop double weapons for a hard mode clear (which you can choose to do at any time) plus a curated piece of Perfected gear if you turn in the weekly quest--and you can trade with other players while Maelstrom is solo-only.

    They occasionally do double-drop events that affect Maelstrom, but they're few and far between.

    Vateshran not only has fewer sets but also gives you a weapon for each sub area's boss and jewelry for Maebroogha, making it much faster to collect everything.

    I don't see any problem with making the reward chests for the last few rounds drop weapons and jewelry for the non-Maelstrom weapon sets, especially since these sets aren't terribly desired outside of completion, anyway.
