Not sure I see the problem? Looks like it was a pretty good fight for a little bit there with roughly even numbers, and then Red gained the advantage with the keep flagged and blues not being able to respawn there. That's kind of how the game works. At a certain point, the Blues should have pulled back to defend the inner keep.

Even with lesser numbers, a group of ~ 20ish coordinated blues can hold back 40+ of the other alliance if played right. We've had 2-3 fights light that in just the past 2-3 weeks where we pushed back greater numbers at the inner of a last emp keep to hold onto emp.

I... I actually don't know if that was sarcasm or not. :p

Once the outer door is breached and you see them pushing in with numbers then you either get inside and regroup with the other defenders or kite around on the walls to maneuver into more manageable scenarios if you have the build for it. Kiting through the courtyard without a group to back you up is asking to get zerged. Also standing right outside the inner front door at half health it seemed like you either were just getting ready to respawn or your reaction time just wasn’t there

Go watch the video again. The point is that they CAN'T react to anything.

The whole video is show casing the obvious fact that nobody there is able to function correctly because the server is melting down.

So you're pointing to a problem that is already acknowledged, has a solution, has been in testing for a while, and will get a permanent mode in 5 days which will have more tests and tweaks?

no i see your point out your view as to what this video shows but to alot we look at his game play and it really looks as if they dont understand PVP all that good not that there was lag , unplayable, as jumping down to save guards by themselves wasnt great movement

I dunno. Maybe I just have an overdeveloped sense of context scraping :) I see a video title like that and I take from it that this will be showcasing something negative. Next up, in exactly fifteen seconds I see my first real hint. MASSIVE lag spikes that are causing everyone to jerk around erratically. I immediately check the ping and see it is sitting at 999+ and not going down. I next check the names to see if any are ones I recognize. No. Must be EU. Even more lag is becoming apparent as I watch players struggle with basic mechanics. The player in question has text in the chatbox indicating just how bad it is. I watch their attempt as pressing buttons and count how long it takes for the client to acknowledge. It's worse than the ping indicates. I'm still only twenty seconds in by this point but I have all the cues I need to understand the problem.

Now this makes more sense, as I failed to understand the video.

Yeah, server performance is terrible. I suspect some of it is funny business because my group's crown seems to get dc'd during critical fights - but ONLY when we face a specific group. And he has a really good internet connection and a first-rate console. But can it actually be proven? No.

Beyond that - honestly, I think when you get a ton of players together, all of whom are trying to execute animation cancelling in the same window of time, I think it puts extra stress on the server and causes it to bog down.

They've tried everything to isolate the problem, and they can't seem to do it. But from what I can tell, the server bogs down when: 1) you have multiple ballgroups in the same area and they're pressing the offensive (i.e., this is when they're executing their animation cancellations) or same situation, but there is maxed out seige. Both of these situations seem to cause the most lag from my own personal observations.

That's fair. Like I said, it might just be me picking up those details because I literally have to do it all the time at work.
