PvP ranged bombing bug/exploit?

After it was nerfed, Dark Convergence became easy to avoid. It has a huge, swirling perimeter around its area effect.You could easily avoid being pulled.

Lately, however, ~ the last month, many bombers seem to have found a way to shield/negate the area effect ground warning. You get pulled with no warning and no indication that DC had procced.
Every one of the bombers uses the same combination: ranged pestilent colossus, dark convergence, vicious death, sometimes streak.

I have heard that there are now ways people have found to mask skills, sometimes with styles? Any idea how they are preventing the Dark Convergence ground warning from being visible ?

Has anyone else noticed this? I know many people on PC NA GH have noticed it lately.


4 GOs, 2 Generals, and bunches of prefects etc-- all classes...I've wasted a lot of time in PVP over the last 9 years

    or is it something to do with hiding ground effects from other's , sounds like few different things can be root issue here

    I wouldn’t be surprised if the reason is simply the lag or something. Currently on my PS5 (in PVE) I have the same issues that people had on PS4 (ennemies not appearing, desyncs, AOEs not where they appear, etc).

    great point since the NM ps5 lag has became very noticing a lot more skills not firing / lighting/healing staff heavy attacks not locking on , so it can be part of it too

    I use this bomb build, the ground effect is visible to me and decent PvP players just hold block heal and walk out of the aoe, but that's where streak helps because it stuns hence no block. Also everyone will slip up and get pulled by dc eventually, I honestly think it must be some kind of lag just like rush of agony, sometimes I think I'm way out of range and it pulls me from 20 metres away.

    I don't play PVP that much that I would have noticed (or survive long enough in a brawl) but I have heard from other PVP players that there might be something fishy going on. As in, when you engage with some particular enemy your skills stop working, or have massive delay, while the other player does perfect rotation without delays even under pressure. And it's only when engaging with certain enemies.

    I don't play anymore but this was definitely happening. We all noticed that when a "specific" group was around lag went through the roof on PS5. It was as regular as clockwork. It felt deliberate as how could it just be one group when all other groups did not have that same effect.

    ... except if you had lag or desync. i.e. Anytime there are more than 30 players around

    I confess, I haven't PVPed a lot in the last 2 months, but I didn't see this after U49 was released. Wonder why its back.

    Probably not back, it's been at least 6 months since I've played, it was happening up until then. It was an EP group that was causing it back then however.
