Looking for Formula: Dwarven Lantern, Oil

I found a Dwarven Lantern, Oil in my inventory. I'm not sure where it came from, but I would like to get more of these. I have checked Tamriel Trade Center several times but there haven't been any formulas or lanterns for sale.

I can purchase the lantern with crowns but I don't have many of these so would like to be able to craft my own.

This formula is supposed to drop in Vvardenfell and I've tried a few locations but have had no luck. Has anyone ever found this formula? If so, where did you find it?

Hmm that’s one of those very rare drops. so in pc eu there are 3 or 4 formulas for 4 million gold plus.

I figured it would be expensive. I just love it because it's a style that is plain and goes well with most other styles. And it doesn't flicker like some lights do.

As well as the plan being expensive it's one of the old Dwarven Plans, so it uses Dwemer Frame x14.

Keep an eye on TTC maybe someone sells the crafted item, it will be cheaper in the long run.

I've been farming dwarven lamp formulas since 2017... I have exactly one, for the Dwarven Sconce, Powered.

On PC EU some lanterns are offered for around 20k+ Gold. Iirc they can drop from new life festival boxes, but i'm not sure.
Never saw a Formula, still missing it too.

I still don't know where I got the one I have. Maybe it came with a house?

With Kthendral Deep Mines coming 3 of those lanterns, furnished as well as unfurnished. But a single one? Maybe loot from the Night Market?

I've not stepped foot in the Night Market except once to get the house.

UESP lists it as part of the Dwarven Forge-Lord Crown pack and other sources say it is a rare drop from looting in Vvardenfell.

There are three houses that had the furnishing, maybe it is unbound for early purchases like I have heard in some cases.

I have this plan. I farmed Bthar-Zel in Markarth Blackreach endlessly when the chapter came out to get the Markarth style Dwarven plans and the old Dwarven plans dropped there too. They also dropped in the Western Skyrim public dungeon Nchuthnkarst which I farmed as well.

The old plans are a little disappointing because the light source is very dim while the newer one (which is a crown-only polished version) is much brighter.

I don't have any of the houses it listed so I really don't know where I got it. I may check out those places in Western Skyrim because I've had no luck in Vvardenfell.

Really any Dwarven ruin can drop them, it’s just those sites, especially the public dungeon, have quite a few containers to loot so you have more chances of a drop. A lot of these are mostly urns that have a loot table with more trash like ash in them, I think Bthar-Zel had more than just urns.

I want to say that I farmed these a couple of times a day for months, maybe a year to get plans, so it’s not a quick farm. Also, I visited Nchuthnkarst a year or two ago to farm something, I forget what, and felt like the drops had been reduced quite a bit. I used to get Vampiric plans there but not sure they drop much anymore.

Nearly all of the other base-game zone furnishings have made it to Rolis Hlaalu's document packages, except for Dwarven and Ayleid styles. Their rarity is notorious. Until U50 drops, those are the only plans that I haven't collected. I'm also reticent to spend millions of gold on ten year old plans.

Luckily they didn’t cost that much on PS. Any duplicates I farmed got sold to buy ones I did not find.

I just wish the drop rate of these things was more reasonable.
