A couple of comments re: the survey results:

1. On page 5, ~65% of responders said the scarcity of Treasure Maps is one of the biggest hurdles. – That’s true! But from previous testing data we can see that it’s not just the amount of available maps that’s the problem – it’s the drop rates. Even if I had enough maps, there’s not a single thing I find fun about running back and forth between the same ~5 spots 200-500+ times for weeks/months before getting the thing I need.
2. Page 7, “About 11% have unsubscribed and abandoned builds quitting ESO.” – I suspect this number is slightly larger, since most of those players are no longer around to see nor respond to surveys. I’ve been saddened to see some truly inspiring creators “last online” many months ago, and no longer participating in community Discords, etc.

Tiny rays of hope:

• ZOS did acknowledge our thread here.
• We did not (yet) see any Leads in Maps while testing U50 on PTS.
• The upcoming High Seas of Tamriel event will have Leads that drop furnishing plans instead of the item directly, so you can craft as many of the item as you like! That’s huge! → Antiquity Furnishing Leads – Recipes! Thank you Devs!! (High Seas, U51 Preview)
• Some of us suspect that we might see bigger changes to the Antiquities system on the whole when Greymoor is added to the base game in Season Two.

It’s endgame because It takes much more gold to decorate a house than it does to upgrade all of your gear to gold.

Before PvP, trials or even group dungeons came to Tamriel, The Elder Scrolls IV & V (Oblivion & Skyrim) included housing. The Elder Scrolls Online has carried on the housing tradition and seen it grow and evolve along with the rest of the game.

While housing can start out simply for players, it takes a lot of play time to gather the resources necessary to build a fully-functional guild hall with all the essentials that allow score-pushing trial groups to craft gear, test DPS parses, and much more. Before going into Cyrodiil, Imperial City or Battlegrounds, many players fine-tune their builds, top-off ultimate, and refresh vampire stages in player housing while waiting for a queue to pop. Moreover, the furnishings, materials, plans and the houses themselves come from all areas of ESO, including PvP, trails, dungeons and more.

Housing is an integral part of ESO, which over the years provided a stable revenue stream that has allowed ESO to continue to develop and expand when other MMOs have come and gone. Housing also makes up a large percentage of the in-game ESO economy. In short, without housing, it's questionable whether there would even be any other aspects of ESO that players consider end-game at all.

Too often outsized voices have drowned out the softer-spoken housing community. I applaud efforts to bring solidarity to the many ESO players whose primary focus is housing and give them a chance to be heard and their concerns addressed for the health and continuity of ESO in general.
