Can't edit my messages on forum

For some reason i lost my ability to edit my messages on the forum so if i make an error i can't correct it anymore.
The gear icon is not showing up for me.

the forums are completely bugged out it seems for some people. even my icons next to my account name at the top are missing.

And the bookmark (yellow star right behind title) is suddenly invisible, though you can still switch it on and off.

It's invisible, but you can hover your mouse arrow to the left of the # in the upper right corner, and when it turns into a pointing hand you can still click 'options' to edit.

Yep, the buttons are still there, they just invisible. At least now the forum more accurately reflect the in game experience!

I usually scan the forums by Recent so it catches new posts in all the categories. But regardless, ZOS has been tagged so hopefully these will be seen.

Just wanted to flag we have seen the reports and are working with Vanilla to resolve. They are unable to roll us back to a previous version, so we have to wait until Vanilla can figure out why some of the recent issues have occurred. Regardless, we are aware and have escalated to the proper channels.

Yeah, this is ZOS, they couldn't fix the core mechs of their own game for 12 years, why do you expect they can maintain working forums that were outsourced a millenia ago

A quick look at the page with Firefox Web Developer Tools shows a very convoluted method for displaying the icons in the "MeMenu" navigation bar (Notifications, Inbox, etc). For example, the "Notifications" button icon has multiple backgrounds defined including:

There's also a single image file containing an array of the various icons used for the different buttons, but the page code is clearly not calculating the offsets within that master image correctly so as to show the actual icon (or it's being stacked incorrectly using z-index?)

I think the short version is going to be "It's going to take a while to figure out what the code is actually doing".

Edit: the scaling of the emojis is also way off - maybe that's part of the the issue?
Hmm... I wonder if a code AI agent was involved at all?

Thanks for making this thread, I was wondering what the heck was going on. Edit button and all of the bookmarks (etc.) icons normally next to username are invisible for me; I'd been toggling browser extensions in case it was just me.

The giant emojis are annoying too.

@ZOS_Kevin These Inputicons are set with "aria-hidden-"true"". Cause of that, icons are there but not visible even if logged in.

I didnt check other parts from hp, but there were a few comments abouts failing accepting payment methods or even that users has to put their logins twice on forum. This could even be caused by that. A complete rollback shouldn`t be nessassary to fix that problem, maybe only some kind of update will fix it.

The drafts bug has that beat. It's been a year and 3 months now with no fix in sight even after one of our posters gave them the solution.

I don't know what will motivate them. Vanilla should have had these things fixed way before now. We shouldn't have to just tolerate these bugs.
