Who is the most tedious quest giver in the game?

It sometimes feels as though this game is filled with very tedious NPC's who are desperate to give you their quest. Sometimes they even come at you several times from several directions as you try to move through the landscape on your way to somewhere else. Sometimes they are really quite rude, calling you "initiate" or "vestige" or making other rather offensive presumptions about you, or are the opposite and go on about you being the chosen one, which is equally tedious to some people (including me). Others are pathetic and clutch their elbow, and then you feel bad for not taking the quest.

My new least favourite is Anais Davaux. She is at least courteous, and there is only one of her, but she is placed right where I go to do provisioning. One day I took her quest just to shut her up, which is why we need 50 quests in our quest journal. However, going through her admittedly charming dialogue I found out the quest was from Abnur Tharn, so I obviously didn't do it. Yet it turned out, this toon then got the big cat Companion, Zerith-var. Unfortunately this new breed of Companions wants you to do obscure questlines in order to get the dailies that boost their companionship. But as I had the quest on my quest log, I could not find it in the game.

So, who is your least-favourite quest-giver?

"Finally, someone with the guts to help."

I understand fallout is another Bethesda IP, but I found him so annoying, I'm putting him under the ESO worst character too.

From this Game, Lemeril. They removed all the annoying chase-quest givers before Gold Road, just to put her everywhere. I just wanna do my dailies lady, I'll get back to you another time.

Well, at least we have an option to leave him in various unfortunate places and make him sort it out.

The Reach woman who screams at you from the wayshrine outside of Markarth and inside too I think. I haven’t been there on an alt in a long time.

Leremil takes a close second because at least she isn’t screaming.

The one that yells something along the lines of "go away before I gut you"?
I think she's talking to Verandis if I remember right. She IS very loud and very annoying though.

The one who chases me down the most is the guy in Alikr desert who wants to prove his dead wife's innocence, never remember his name, super easy quest though.

The one who doesn't move fast enough is the Prophet, and his dream sequence, someone save me.

As for most annoying, I think I agree with Leramil, hate porting around in that zone.

You can put a stop to her by just accepting the quest even if you dont do it. But yes, she definitely knows our every move in West Weald

This pattern is everywhere, all the quest-givers are stalkers and annoying. Seems there is a scam-push-marketing convention they must have all attended to push waste of time quests and fetching.

He doesn't run after you but I really though it the most tedious quest giver in the whole of ESO

Only time I stopped listening to the voice acting because the slowness got terribly on my nerves.

Another vote for Leramil, but really any of those stalker quest givers that pop up every 100 ft and repeat their line. "HAIL mighty warrior!" lady from Summerset and the "Get away from me stupid thing?! Is it gone?" guy from High Isle.

That Argonian in Vardenfell. Just do this one thing and you can save her boyfriend slave and then another thing and another. Then after you finally finish with her, the game thinks you are besties and invites her to your main quest ended party rather than someone who you get to kill.

the most tedious questline was basically the entire scribing questline lol

outside of the into quest, and the wing of the crow, all 4 other wings were extremely tedious and repetitive

Orc in Deshaan telling you'll "fill the bill." Plus why would someone in Tamriel use that phrase?

    "fill the bill"

The idiom "fill the bill" (or "fit the bill") means to serve a particular purpose or to be exactly what is needed. The phrase originated in 19th-century American theatrical slang, referring to the "bill" (playbill or poster) used to advertise acts.

Anyone with a greeting resembling, "halt! <something or other>!" and who never seems to tire of telling me that every 10 or 15 seconds. There's at least one in most zones. Diligence in the execution of one's duties is commendable, but there comes a point where repetition assures being ignored out of spite (because green nametag means I can't stab you and make you shut up for at least the duration of the respawn timer).

If we're talking specific NPCs, I'd probably have to go with Leramil the Wise. "I've been expecting you" is kinda creepy, but she doesn't chase me like Stuga did. She's just kinda there in a weird stalker sort of way. Stuga at least had a bit of a 'rrawr' factor if you're into tusk polishing.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

Be happy that ZOS pinned the Stuga.

Her "Do you know how long I've been looking for you?" was filling our veins with ice.
Did you go to feed the horse in Vukhel's Guard? She got you!
Ran to the wayshrine in Daggerfall? Here she is!
Nowhere to hide! Nobody was safe until ZOS had shown their mercy.

So now she's sitting in one place and waiting. When the time comes, this leash will be broken... *suspenseful music plays*

For me the worst offenders are not necessarily the characters themselves, but the way some quest givers are placed and repeated.

A funny or pushy NPC can be memorable the first time. Stuga became infamous for a reason. Narsis Dren is annoying, but at least he is annoying in a characterful way. The problem is when an NPC is standing right on top of a wayshrine, crafting area, daily hub, or common path and repeats the same line every time you pass them.

Leramil is probably my current pick because West Weald makes her feel unavoidable. It is less “mysterious quest hook” and more “please stop appearing everywhere I am trying to do chores.”

I would love some kind of account-wide mercy system for this. If I have completed a prologue or major questline before, let me hide or quiet those quest starters on alts unless I specifically go looking for them. Even a longer cooldown on repeated quest barks would help.

Quest givers should make the world feel alive, not make me accept a quest just to make them stop talking.

    "Going to Ald Isra?"

I found that one incredibly annoying... Every time I went to dig up chests or antiquities and passed even remotely close. The fact she's parked by a wayshrine didn't help either.

I eventually did the quest just to get her to leave me alone.

For me it's not the quest barkers as so much the chatter NPCs. I like hearing them the first time because they make the world feel more alive. But parking them next to a crafting hub ensures that we have to hear the same dialogue over and over. Currently the worst offender is the group parked right in front of the Solstice crafting hub because if you want to craft there on a character that isn't permanently parked inside, then you'll have to hear them yap twice.
