Night Market: Companion Taunt Overriding Player Taunt

Have seen several instances now of companion taunts overriding player taunts in the NM. Happens with all companions, whether their player is in the same group or not.

    Are you sure its the companion? I've been seeing people blissfully unaware that they're taunting by spamming toppling charge and being the tank werewolf, so, wouldn't be surprised if there's people using all kinds of taunts.

    its not something thats unique to the night market, ive seen it happen in other instances like trials when someone dc's and a tank companion is spawned and causes aggro issues

    the companions should not be taunting anything if it already has taunt, but that clearly doesnt work 100% of the time

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

    A tank in my guild has frequently had this happen. I'm about to ban companions in guild runs as a tempfix but posting to confirm this is happening.

    I'm 100% sure it is a companion. I've watched the boss turn and face them, only turning back when re-taunted by a player.

    Edit: I also noted this two weeks ago in the bug thread about Molonach. I have now observed it on other bosses.

    I've never seen it in a trial, but then again I (and other RLs I run with) insist that companions are not out. They are a distraction and can cause issues if someone DCs or the group wipes.
