The mistake I made with the Nightmarket

So, I knew about the nightmarket. It sounded interesting but I decided to wait before jumping in (I usually do this to avoid the worst of the crowds). This was a *big* mistake. Those crowds I try to avoid? They were essential to success. I knew it was a group event and was ok with that. What I didn't expect is that you can't get anything done without a crowd. I also didn't realize that with the rewards (relics) getting around would be more difficult. No it's not impossible but it a real pain in the patootie! The endless trash mobs, gah! And group finder is virtually empty when it isn't totally empty. I realize now that I might not be able to get all the bits to finish the house dispite spending hours on it because are not enough people to help. I imagine that after most people got the relics there wasn't a lot of reason to come back. I'm just sick and frustrated with trying to finish the relics I might not either. But I do like the content, it can be fun it's just harder now because the crowds are gone.

What server are you on? Is this during non peak? Are you able to spend anytime playing during that server's peak hours? I ask this question because I haven't had too much issue finding groups but they have slowed down significantly. It might help you to find some as well.

You could also consider joining a guild that does group content if you're not in one already.

PSEU, mostly early mornings. When I log on there are some but as it gets later group finder dries up. No groups at all. I tried making my own but without the relic people left because we always had to go the long torturous way around.

    Social guilds can help.
Just join one or two (if not yet), announce the NM run a day earlier, and gather everybody who wants to participate. Use GF to add even more people for skirmishes for example.
You're not the only one who postponed their start. You'll manage to do it together, helping one another.

I knew it! EU has peak times and off peak. Early mornings are off peak.

NA has players from Australia, Asia, and both Americas, so there is not a clear off peak time. The slowest it gets is during EU's main peak time, just before America wakes up and right after Asia has gone to bed.

You can do a lot solo. In fact, collecting favour is much easier solo. But for more difficult stuff, like Argents, Calamities and Skirmishes, you need other players. Zerg will work so you don't need an organised group for those.

Even a dungeon group works for most. The only Argent where you want more DDs is Ozezan and even that only because, while it's doable with a 4 player group, it's way too slow because of all the lava and spawns. All Calamities work with a 4 player group. If you are fighting some Argents and a calamity keeps popping in, that makes the fight pretty difficult for 4 players. But if you kill the calamity first, then go to kill the Argent, it becomes pretty easy.

If the goal is having the relics, then the Calamities are not necessary in fact.
The most challenging for it are the Skirmishes. Maybe it is worth one-time game session behind your schedule, just to match the prime zerg time once.
