Faction lost on Xbox, favor reset + GF is non-functional

Xbox NA faction has been lost. Introductory quest pops up and all favor is deleted. On any character. Haven’t tried redoing the quest again.

Numerous reports on zone chat and Reddit of the same thing happening.

Also, GF is down, just keeps saying that it’s taking longer than usual. Bug reports have been submitted in game.

Yup. At least 40 ppl in each of the 5 guild I’m in are online rn - and have all reported this issue. It looks like NM server went down for everyone on Xbox NA . Considering what guild chats look right now - looks like it’s going to get quite festive. I’m logging off tho.

Same was at 9300 favor with Goad now nothing shows up. Funny enough I have the quest giver again so If only I hit 10k with Goad I could probably switch faction. Group finder is also down I won't be touching Night Market for a bit on Xbox.

It doesn’t let you complete the quest to choose faction. It’s bugged, also.

Even the bugs have bugs in this game what a shame you can't switch faction at least it would be somewhat beneficial to some players who already got 10k favor oh well.

Unclear. But on Xbox it’s pretty quiet, ppl just logged off or went to do non NM things.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Just logged in on xbox. On NA Favor and Faction seems to be okay, but GF does not work.

Was on EU previously, Favor and Faction worked as well, did not test the GF

Just logged on to test out on Xbox NA. It seems to be all working now.

In efforts to troubleshoot this yesterday I did attempt to complete intro quest on multiple characters with all 3 factions, and it looks like it swapped a faction. I’m fine with it, just making sure this won’t be acted against me/my account. @ZOS_GinaBruno

On Xbox NA, Swapped faction this morning after seeing the Curator intro quest was available and chose TE. Before this morning I was GG with 10K+ favor, which is now gone. Out of curiosity I turned in a GG daily to Tachion and received TE favor. I just logged in again and it still shows that I'm now TE.

From what I'm seeing, it's an issue on PS (na, at least) right now. Is this the case? I'm staying out of NM because of the reports I've seen on it. Just trying to get confirmation on if this is an issue and if it's something you all are aware of.

Logged on to Xbox NA, favor and faction are back but GF is showing duplicate listing for almost all groups.

My Girlfriend is having an issue where her Favor has been wiped. She had over 34k favors (which we have proven with screenshots) and was reduced to 0 this morning. We submitted a ticket and the first responder said it was fixed; it wasn't. Second responder told her to restart the game; we restarted the whole Xbox and still was at 0 favors. we even added favors by doing a race and a quest hoping it would update the tally to 34K but it was only 85. The latest responder gave her 5 tonics. just 5. 5 tonics doesn't equal the last month of work and even with 2 and a half hours it wouldn't get us close to 34K, not even close to 10K for the coffers. Both of us are livid at this response. any way we can escalate above the support team?

Is there a particular reason to have so much favor? I stopped NM after hitting 10k or so

Well now I have my quest back but I still lost all my favors the issue is is that when I logged in it told me to redo my faction so I selected the same faction again but it made me do all the talking to each faction going to the banner and kneeling to it. I'm wondering because I redid it it reset my favors to zero. I want to stress though that I pick the exact same faction I had before I didn't change factions so I'm not sure what can be done about getting back my favors

Happened to my wife just a few hours ago… After an hour long chat with support, they claim they simply have no way of returning the favor and ZOS believes 2 weeks of work and 9k favor is only worth 5 hours in Tonics of Portent Favor (which are useless if you’re turning in dailies, by the way)… This is ridiculous!

I asked around in a couple of guild chats yesterday before logging in but no one responded. I went to the NM and everything was working properly, thank goodness.

Is this all a problem where the curator quest hangs around after choosing a faction and it is not going away? The choice is account wide so there is no need to do it again for another character, perhaps that is why the favor is getting reset. There should be code to prevent players from doing that but maybe there isn’t.

If not, then maybe there was just a hiccup yesterday that got fixed and those who chose a faction again now have the bug. I have no idea, I haven’t seen any other responses than the “we are looking into it” and then “it should be back up”.
