It took me an hour to explain Opulent Ordeal to a whole group of players who hadn't done it over text. I don't want to do that every time. I don't mind occasionally doing a "first run" or "mechanics explained" group, and that's a good idea for you to do if you feel like there aren't enough of them.

Someone looking for a "no death" clear is perfectly valid because it's an achievement. The issue is that the keys force them to use Group Finder, because their friends or guildmates may not have the needed keys—that part is something that ZOS can fix if they make it easier to join your friends for the Night Market dungeons & trials.

There's a couple of achievements that are really hard those particular players are trying to get (no death run for the trial, most likely kill the boss without killing any dragons for the dungeons).

They don't give anything huge for those achievements but some people just like collecting things like that.

I wouldn't let it get to you.

The crazy thing about this, though, is attempting to pug that through the Group Finder.

They are setting themselves up for a bad time and also alienating others just looking for a group.

Exactly, i couldn't agree more. If you're that elite then you should already have groups that work on speed runs, no deaths and trifectas.

Well, not every good player is a group player. Some people take pride in being excellent soloists. Solo actually doesn't mean non-elite. There are people who can solo dungeon trifectas and people who struggle to solo normal fungal grotto. Solo play has a spectrum of player skill.

12 people is also a lot to organize when people can enter whenever they want. Some are going to find it impossible when you also add in the scheduling nightmare the key system creates. So, they'll get a few guildmates/friends to join them and fill the rest of spots in group finder.

Neither is trying to exclude people just to be mean or elitist. They're just taking on a harder challenge and want their teammates to be prepared for it.

If the players who do trifectas had run with the same kind of players only, that would've been the worst state of the community possible.
In fact, players of all playstyles mix and play with each other all the time, and this is the healthy state of the game.

I'm sorry to hear that some requirements in GF make you feel excluded. And I'm sure that the goal of these groups is not to exclude anybody but to enhance everybody's experience.

For a player who ran some hard content and wants more this is the way to play with more experienced players. Sometimes it is a chance to finish the run, that a player wouldn't have finished with less exp players. It is not a carry, it is a part of learning and progressing.

For an experienced player it is a step aside from a static routine. This way they got reminded how to act in different, non-optimized circumstances. They refresh their memories and may give some ideas to others instead of just sweating with their parse-machines.

Simple fact that some players who create such group either do it this way or do not create a group at all, because they have 1h to play the trial and don't have 2h for example.
So please don't take these demands as an ultimatum or insult. Try to take it as a compromise.
It is the way players meet each other. And it is way better than the segregation you just described.

Well, ngl some players set some demands as a cargo cult, or just to get carried.
I doubt you wanted to join such a funny group anyway. That's where the stories about toxic elitists being born.

“I thought it was about inclusivity”. Are we serious. It’s only as inclusive as a group lead decides to be.
Zos then: Vengeance is just a test bro

Zos now: Do you want Vengeance permanent or permanent...

Pretty easy to do actually for content like this, with no hard mode especially. In comparison to pugging for this in dlc dungeons with randoms, especially because the pool is much larger.

9 of 12 players including a tank and both healers die in water on Brazen Sellistrix all 3 times. No rubber boots worn.

Which would seem to indicate a lot of players haven't even run Arx Corinium ... which is shocking!

(Pun intended. Pun entire reason for post!)

A game having inclusive messaging doesn't mean individual players don't have freedom of association. Some folks want to play a certain way and therefore group up with other folks who wanna play that way.

Night market was never advertised as inclusive. Its always been about overcoming challenges as group. When inclusivity comes at the cost of performance you automatically exlcude those who want to get achievements.

I sympathize with the OP. Up until this event, all of the people who are complaining about keys will only run content with their friends, Guilds or trial teams, dischord ect. Its long overdue the rest of the Realm gets a group event and the group finder is actually busy for a change. If you don't like playing with new people or those who aren't in your inner circles, dont do Night Market. Its not your kind of content.

I hope they never make this "inclusive". That will downgrade the difficulty to 0 and Nm is already boring. It isn't made for the casual player but goes more in the direction of an endgame activity for experienced players.

There is enough easy content for everyone already in the game. Nightmarket is for people that have mastered the basics of the game and it's easy unless you're in random green or purple gear without any combat knowledge.

    I keep complaining about keys.
I keep running with random groups for NM bosses and dungeons every day. I ran DLC dungeons both with random players and with friends.
I missed many trial runs with my friends because I didn't manage to do NM dungeon with random group. I keep blaming the keys system for it, not the random players. And I will complain about this system until it is changed.
May I do Night Market today? Please!
