Well, we already have several companions and they all have amazing stories. I love this system and genuinely hope we get even more companions going forward. A vampire companion, a werewolf companion, a companion that mixes classes… honestly, anything!
But I’d also love for us to be able to create our own companions! Here’s my idea:
A companion slot system where you can customize your companion’s appearance and choose their abilities based on the skills already available to ESO companions.
I came up with this because I have a character, Gwynfour, and I’ve been writing him for a VERY long time. He’s always been accompanied by another character, Anne, and they have many stories together. Thinking about that, I started wondering: “Hey, why not?”
It would basically be a companion without the constant interactions that the existing companions have: no personal quests, or even the like/dislike system. But at the same time, it would open up a really fun range of gameplay possibilities! I mean, we could even recreate our own characters as companions!

Emeratis✭✭✭✭✭I'd rather have a slightly different system. I've asked for a while to let us have our alt characters as companions/houseguests. Companion wise they could let us select a companionized version of skills/build and pull from our characters' cosmetics/voice/etc. Houseguest wise you just need the physical appearance. I know there are some logistics issues like when you update their appearance or change an outfit but those could be addressed. Several of my characters are friends, family, lovers, etc and I would love for them to go on an adventure together instead of me having to imagine it in my head as I quest.2 -

For example, one that has learned how to do crafting writs and will craft them with you when you interact with a crafting station?
