We keep getting instances where the blue platform for killing the shades do not spawn, it's so frustating

Experienced this multiple times as well, including the very last trap that did not spawn so we wasted 7 mins fighting the boss only for it to bug out.

If I had to guess, this sounds like a target for the mark might be assigned outside of the arena or something like that. Maybe a player died or ported? Or maybe someone was just outside? The boss should maybe have some kind of timer based refresh for the target. Maybe that can solve the issue? Of course that is potentially silly if you are just about to snare him, but probably worth it based on your accounts.

We've encountered this bug 3 times already, within 2 guild runs and we also suspect that it happens when a player, who gets the target mark assigned, leaves the boss area. The mark itself automatically switches target though, players with it are present in the fight, but the light area still doesn't appear.
It's extremely disruptive and made us look for another Night Market instance too because the bug keeps the boss in shadow phase forever, with the only solution of resetting the entire fight by wiping everyone and well, try doing this with lots of random players around. I don't know if it was just confusion, ignorance or griefing but we had random people solo-kiting the shades in circles and ignoring everyone else shouting for a wipe reset.
I guess there is no fail-safe for this case because its a copy of a dungeon boss, where group members can't leave the area and are force-ported into the fight. Can't really do that here of course because it would get people stuck who engaged on accident. It needs some form of fail-safe asap though.

Workaround: All die or runaway, i.e. reset the fight. Try again

No, the trap literally doesn't spawn.

We tried leaving the area once where it just bugged the boss even more. Shades chasing the leaving players and getting stuck at the entrance, where they can't pass through. Having everyone die and not revive until everyone is dead seems to be the solution that works best. If everyone listens...

I had this happen on multiple times as well (XBox NA). What you see in the video above tracks for me; when it fails to reset, the boss shades technically become damageable (though take very little damage). If you have multiple up still, they are all damageable. I didn't stick around to find out if I could end the phase by killing the shades.

Finally found an instance where Exarch wasn't bugged last night, killed it, and it didn't drop the key I needed.

I'm a huge Night Market supporter and enjoy it overall, but the Exarch fight is bringing a ton of frustration to key progression.

Same here 4 try 4 time in a row platform breaks at the second phase and the boss can't be reset when it happens, even after everyone dies, its stuck on the light trap phase

Even worse that I main tanked this same boss 5 time before but never got the key for it

Two more points to add to the Molonach problem.

1) Yesterday a group of us killed him, and half of us didn't get the key
2) Today, he kept turning during the fight, despite me being the only player tank. After observing for a couple of minutes it would appear that someone (who was not in our group) had a companion with a taunt - and the companion taunt was overriding mine.

I ran with my guild today. 1st kill, no key. 2nd kill attempt, he got stuck in shade. The wandering boss was also involved, so not sure if she had something to do with it

Its happened a few times. We left the area quickly and returned, all shades now had hp so we could kill them all. Not ideal, but atleast you get to loot it.

We experimented with the hulking werewolf potions on the floor. This seems to be what prevents the blue circles in this fight. Can this be fixed soonish, please and thanks?

ive come across the boss stuck in this state, we pulled the shade back into the boss arena and it let us kill the shade and then the boss who was at like 16% hp lol

Tried it twice yesterday, first kill half our group didn't get a key, so we tried it a second time and the boss glitched. Decided at that point I wasn't going to play NM for that evening and left.

It's also annoying since this is by far the longest NM boss (except for skirmishes maybe) since you're forced to do multiple phases. Really annoying to have it glitch on the last hunt phase when you've already been fighting it for a few minutes.

Happened today. partway through the fight and bugged with the usual non spawning of the light traps. I died and re-spawned, as did others, but cant progress. The various copies of him were scattered around the arena, with one even outside, stuck doing nothing.
I had the red pulse around the screen afterwards for ages indicating I was in combat. was able to port away via portal though, which hasn't been the case always, but did have to end the game rather than logging out, as I was "in combat" while deconstructing items in the square.
1st of May reported, with no response here since from anyone with an update, or even "we're looking into it".

I've also been playing when Lady Nassulchkh has bugged (no pun intended). She continually had the "interrupt me" red lines around her, but you couldn't do so. Health wouldn't go down further after that.

Shame, as I am surprised by how much I've been enjoying the night market. Also, getting 3 full trial sets was cool, being a solo player (even if info online states they are not the best by far), I'm enjoying trying them out. Hope they add others to the drop going forward.
