Marked Maps for Night Market Precinct and District Quest Starter / Find Spots

(Maps Updated May 5 2026, color correction applied with simple map key)

Hi all.

Seeing that there are no detailed marked maps available yet, I made my own to help myself and the group I run with. I used the UESP maps as base and added markers to them. New unverified spots have been added, sent to me by guildies and friends, but some details were missing so these currently have an underlined number.

Feel free to contribute new spots, and suggest amendments to the spots for accuracy. Please attach a single screenshot of the location for verification, preferrably displaying the minimap, 3D in-game location, the blue-green/white quest marker, with the name of the quest name/description showing on the top compass or in the interactable (X) if you are close enough. Example:

Also feel free to share these maps to your guild, friends and socials. Every version is dated to avoid unnecessary dispute on markers. This is a community-driven effort, I did some work but own no copyright.

Feedback welcome (be kind please), and enjoy.

Awesome work!!! Thank you for posting. A couple people have been working on markers for More Markers as well. I made some decent progress yesterday but still got a ways to go until mine are done,,,

My feedback would be that it’d be easier to read if you color or shape coded the quests (if you color code, avoid red and green because I think those show up similar to the map color for red-green colorblind folks).

    Awesome post and pictures.

i agree some of the colours make it harder to read, some of it blends in with the picture behind the letters and numbers.
Black numbers on white circles and blue arrows are however very well visible, to me.

The black text on the edge of the maps is easy to read, because the background there is lighter.
The maps are darker and thus black and dark blue text is harder to read
Perhaps a lighter colour would be better like yellow.

Ty for the suggestions @Soarora, @LunaFlora. I will try some alternatives and see if they work. Funny thing, in earlier test versions, I had light blue text on dark terrain and dark blue on light terrain, and feedback from my group was the light blue was hard to see. Problem is, some areas have a mix of both dark (buildings) and light terrain (paths). I struggled to find a middle ground. Also concerns on word clutter.

I like the idea of shape coding. Will test it.

    I am glad that most markers seemed sufficiently self-explanatory. Like what 3 v, < 3, ^ 3, 3 > , 🪭 🌪️, 🦠 and 🏴‍☠️ meant. No one asked “wth is this”. Happy.

    THANK YOU!

I'd been able to find most things just while running around with the zergs; not really trying for these. But one night I was just curious to see if I could stealth around and finish a few solo. Some are really hard to find! Like some bodies that have at least a few spots they can spawn in.

(Also I found actual invisibility to be necessary if solo-stealthing. The NM has the same, frustrating old bug where you get randomly detected despite absolutely nothing being in proximity – even in builds that can literally bump into enemies unseen, normally.)

I'm here to break the mold. I barely understand night market itself. Those icons and numbers are hard to understand to me and the description on the side makes it even more confusing, so I'm not sure what do the v<>^ mean. I can intue the 🌪️ are the sand swirlies in the desert tho. Maybe a map key could help.

Thank you. For this part on detection, I noticed that the Calamitous walking boss has some ‘negate stealth’ ability with an insane range of 15-20% of the map width, roughly 75% of a zoomed in mini-map. While collecting quest starter and find spots, in locations where I am fully hidden with no enemies, I would suddenly go into Detected once a Calamitous boss comes within range. That could be what’s happening.

    Thank you for the reply.

On the first point, I appreciate the context. I am not sure how far you have progressed the Night Market 2-part main story quest, whether you have fought any of the bosses, explored the 3 precincts/districts, done some side quests, defeated the dungeon and trial bosses.

    An analogy would be this:
    Chapter 1: Complete Main Story
    Chapter 2: Explored the precincts/districts
    Chapter 3a: Encountered some bosses
Chapter 3b: Done some Faction Leader quests
Chapter 3c: Done some precinct/district quests
Chapter 4: Defeated the dungeon and trial bosses.

These maps make more sense when one has reached Chapter 3c. If Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 were not yet read, jumping straight into Chapter 3 will be confusing to any reader. My suggestion would be to do and understand the earlier Chapters first, THEN attempt Chapter 3a,b,c. And when you reach a roadblock at Chapter 3c, come back to these maps and see if the information here is of any use to you. If not, ditch it and look elsewhere. The purpose of these maps are to be a guide specifically for Chapter 3c. For basic understanding of the Night Market - that is well taken care of by the plethora of websites and videos that cover the foundation in detail - which are not the focus or intention of these maps.

Please know that this is not written in malice. As tank, I lead groups into the Night Market and always take time to explain basic things to group members, checking how much they have done, what Achievements are missing, and answer burning questions. Querying via the Chapter analogy given above. If they have not done any side quests, I make no mention of it until asked. Discussion on map markers will be meaningless and a waste of their time. I assist with bosses and we march on.

I did incorporate your suggestion for a map key, which is shown in this updated side panel. I will have this in all 3 maps. It is an improvement. Thank you for this.

    Update on this DIY project.

These maps were done in the Photo app on iPhone, which lacks a text-outline feature. The more laborious way to improve contrast would be to add a custom sized color-contrasted background on every single text item. But this would also add blockage and occlude many map features. For these reasons, I cannot go with this option. With contrast being the main feedback on the maps (dark letters on dark background), I did a survey and test with my guild and group, asking if color correction would aid in improving the readability of the map.

I prepared these 3 test panels:
    545dzjtlyp9q.jpeg
    The response:
Left / original: very few liked this
    Middle: most preferred this
Right: some with eyesight problems much preferred this (folks my guild and groups average age 50).

Here are the updated maps with the middle color correction applied, and additional Quest Starter spots that need verifying (black number in white circle with underline). I am hoping that this is a acceptable compromise. Your comments are welcome. Thank you.

Edit: Outdatedmaps hidden - dated May 4. Please look to top of post for latest version. Ty.
