Quest markers in the night market

I have been looking for the “deadly concoctions” for the Fatal Flask quest for an HOUR. They are nowhere to be found. The fact that all of these quest items only show up when you are right on top of them, in a zone where mobs can absolutely wreck you, is super frustrating. You run around trying to avoid the mobs just to complete a fetch quest with a trash reward.

Had the same issue with propaganda. One would think that propaganda should be more visible to reach the masses.

I cannot find the southeast of the sketches to save my life. I've walked the quest marker zone and the sketch just doesn't exist.

Ok, the propaganda ones are small posters on wall areas so the best thing to do is make sure you check all the walls.

For the sketches, I’m not sure if it was that one or the mystery notes but one of them had a quest item at the respawn point (so not on the ground).

Does anyone know what the deadly concoctions look like?

If I remember correctly it was a potion written “not magicka” or something

My issue is that I can‘t find some quest starters at all. Is there a proper guide that shows them already?

    1. I've been taking screenshots of where to pick up and complete in-zone quests, or making notes where they are ("x zone, top left corner" + memory, etc.). not too difficult.
    2. Quest markers - for many you have to be within a few feet of quest location for the marker to show up. See #1

I've just spent 20 minutes in one of the circles for fatal flaw and have no idea where this could be. I should get a marker when I'm within 10 meters. At this point I'm just abandoning it.

Absolutely agree. The propaganda markers didn't show for me until I was literally right next to the banners and they kept disappearing and reappearing. Other quest markers still won't show me at all. I've been back to the Night Market four times since last night and they still don't show up.

How am I suppose to complete quests if I cannot locate what I need to for completion?

i'll try next time so i have all for you. after i learned that the coffer fragment does not drop from in-zone quests and the reward is a zone gea piece and nothing else, i stopped doing them and stuck to NM dailies (found in starlit plaza).

It looks like the Not a Potion quest gives DIFFERENT locations each time you do it. I've just found it in the first building North East of the Timeless Wallow dungeon, in the colonnade with vases, baskets, and terrariums. That's a different location from the one that @ginsenghunter found.

The solution to not die is using cloak and stay invisible. You find stuff much faster this way. Everyone can use cloak wirh subclassing now

the problem is that often the quest markers only appear when you seem to be nearly on top of them and often with a delay which makes them really hard to find... and on top of that they are really hard to see - easier to see in the sorrow district because of the darker / muted environment...

it would be nice if the quest marker would plop up earlier and be visible from further away...

Found the It's not a potion quest in Southeast corner of Parch

For me, it was in an alcove or stall area up in the northeast, very close to where @ginsenghunter showed it, although I think it was a tiny bit southwest of that location-- in the same stall or alcove, but not in exactly the same spot? [Edit: Actually, I think it was at the building which is southwest northwest of where @ginsenghunter showed, very close to the stone archway which is obstructed by a sand wall.]

The biggest problem I've been having-- aside from the one mentioned in this thread, namely the way the quest markers don't show up until you're very close to them-- is that it can be very difficult to find your way around using the map, especially in the Parch, because what looks like a clear pathway on the map might be blocked by a sand wall, or what looks like a pathway with a barrier blocking it might actually be a clear passage through an unobstructed archway. There's even one spot up toward the north or northwest of the Parch where there's a clear path which (as far as I can tell) is the only way to get into the area in the western portion of the Parch, since all of the other clearly-marked pathways are obstructed by sand walls-- yet this clear path is not shown as a pathway at all on the map, and looks like it's just a rock wall because it goes under a large rock archway.

Often I'll finally get close enough to spot the quest marker-- but it will be on the other side of a rock wall or sand wall, which means I must then try to work my way around the map to that side of the rock wall or sand wall.

I managed to find the potion in the end but it was an incredibly tedious task that I only finished to get the achievement to do all the quests. I prefer fighting the bosses in the NM.

I've been walking around the designated area for an hour and can't for the life of me find the last piece of propaganda in the Skittering District. It's the one near the skirmish site. Is it bugged? I've logged out overnight and back in again and it's still hidden/missing. I've checked all the walls, corners and hidey holes.

I don't want to abandon it yet because I can't remember where I picked up the quest.

These fetch quests in the NM are awful! Super beefed up mobs everywhere, can't see the quest markers, can't find the originating quest activators either...

@BretonMage I do not remember where all of them were, but one was on the wall directly to the left of the grappling post. Did you find that one?

I get the feeling that the overland gear pieces are meant to help newer players fill in their stickerbooks, or help players amass tempering mats by deconstructing the gear.

Maybe the real reward for older players is the faction favors you get by turning in the quests, although I'm not clear on what that's good for. Is it like a currency that we can spend, or is it just to help our faction win the competition?

It was actually bugged, because I left the NM, logged off then on again, and when I returned to the area and it finally appeared, over a hole in a wall. I had scrutinised that area closely and know it wasn't there before. My subsequent quest with the district journal bugged out even more and I ended up abandoning that one. It's really strange, I've only ever had one quest bug out like that before - Tanlorin's quest where you're supposed to search the office for a letter.
