How do I place the gauntlet in the new house? [Solved]

I've collected the gauntlet from the thousand eye faction, but it won't let me put it on the pedestal in the house. I also tried looking through my housing items and checked the vender in the night market but nothing.

You place them like a furnishing right on top of the holo image.

They are collectible furnishings so you won't see it in your inventory. Filter your placement options by Collectible, and you'll find them in the Gallery -> Trophy/Awards subcategory.

There should be an interaction prompt on the pedestal.

It’s not placed by the housing menu. It’s more like turning on a light.

Edit: never mind, it’s a collectable like the Lunar Champion tablets.

that's what I tried right after I got it, but I will try again just in case I missed something.

I opened the housing menu and then placed the item, in this case the egg relic on the pedestal. This opened up the new wing, which in reality was one ugly room.

Didn't seem to work, just says the same thing as if I didn't have it. Unless there's something I'm missing but I've collected all the splinters and killed the Gossamer Crypt boss. maybe there's other things I have to do?

I'm having an issue with it too. I examine the pedestal, it says place the egg. But the egg isn't showing up in the browse menu, even filtered by collectibles and looking under gallery. I see ESO plus, display, paintings, Undaunted busts, and Undaunted trophies, and it's not anywhere in there. But the achievement is complete and I have the memento.

Am I missing something?

Edit: I was missing something. The furnishing container had arrived in the mail, and it contains the egg. When looking up the issue I read that you should place the egg and you would then receive the container, so I had no idea to check my mail. All sorted!

After you got the achievement, did you open the mail, collect the reward coffer containing the furnishings, then open/loot the coffer?
