Good grief, you sound INCREDIBLY entitled. Just fyi. One single update isnt for you and you are quitting forever? Go outside.

I don't understand why anyone would quit over the Night Market. I haven't tried it (except for doing the quest for the house). I could tell by the PTS feedback that I wouldn't like it. I don't like combat in this game, or being forced to play with others, so it's definitely a no-go for me. So I just put it on ignore. The only thing I wish I could do is hide/delete the challenge associated with it, and somehow indicate that I don't care about the Golden Pursuit so can it not be in yellow in the menu.

Otherwise, it's on ignore. I have other things I can do in the game. As for the shinies, there are tons of shinies I don't/can't have. Who has bought everything in the crown store? Every single item? You won't get everything, so missing out on a few isn't the end of the world. In fact, if you can cure yourself of FOMO, you'll enjoy the game more.

I do feel bad for those who were looking forward to the Night Market and are disappointed that they don't like it. But it's just one zone and it's only here for a couple of months, so really, who cares? Now, if this was the only content being released this year, or ZOS's plan was to focus mainly on content like this, then sure, I'd be leaving the game too. But it's not. So again, just stick to what you enjoy.

I ignore PvP, vet content, trials, and ToT. I don't get the associated rewards, but I also don't waste a second of my gaming time doing something that doesn't interest me.

You'll be happier playing ESO if you ignore any experiments they try that obviously aren't for you and stick to what you enjoy.

This OP is silly. You’ve got a right to do what you want, by all means. But I think this reaction is a bit dramatic.

When has group content ever been for solo casual play? This replaced dungeons.

This part of the year has never been about a new zone. What is all this group think about being denied a new zone in Q1 coming from. TG, Sheo, and Sage's Vault are what is replacing the overland zone content.

Night Market is just combining the new group content into one easily skippable event.

Ive been on the ESO train since BETA and almost never posted in the forum because for the most part you made content i enjoy.
There have been up's and downs but it's clear to me you no longer want me as a consumer of you're product.

I enjoy pve and pvp but not once in all these years did i do TRAIL based content because it's not my thing.

What you have delivered in the night market is a trail based slop fest with garbage rewards that waste my time with fetch and drop of quests in a zone packed with overpowered trash mobs.

Open world content like harrow storms ect ect work because players are all on the same page and herded to the same point at the same time, The night market is not this.

i have never logged of so fast in this game period, Im done with this FOMO GRABAGE
    i already have a 120$ house
    i already have purchased mounts
i already have the gear i want.

what are you offering for my money at this point............Nothing, this isn't story content nor is it a exciting new zone to explore with npc's i want to listen to about their story it's just filler content with trash repeatable quests and op mobs.

And to top it of it's full of bugs.

First of all, you don’t need to pay anything to get to Night Market. This zone is 100% free. So I don’t understand why you complain about money.
2nd… I must disagree with you on everything. I don’t see any trace of real FOMO here at all. Or at least not as much as in Daily Rewards. Enemies are powerful but this was the goal. To give us challenge. And this is something that ESO was missing.
And lack of story? I’m also an person who loves lore and story. And Night Market also has that. All faction leaders have interesting dialogs. Daily quests have texts and descriptions. There are books and note everywhere!

So maybe instead of quickly logging off from ESO, go and explore the new zone.

That night market is indeed a flop in my eyes, when I went there this afternoon for curiosity, I was disappointed. And the PvP is completely dead due to this crazy class imbalance.

    Subclasses were a mistake!

The content of this game is indeed falling apart. My main class necromancer, a class I paid, got trashed and destroyed, and we are told that we are last on refresh list, a complete insult for us. Forcing player into a specific class is not acceptable. And we are also unable to get answers from the devs concerning that class, despite multiple threads concerning it.

I paid all of the chapters since 2019, went through eso+, spent time and efforts in the game. And how am I being thanked? By being nerfed and insulted while forced to play a way I do not want.

So me too, I am considering leaving the game and stopping giving money to get nothing in return.

I don't understand the anger, except maybe you thought you were getting a new zone despite literally everything that has been said about it.

The first update of the year has always been dungeon based so where's the difference?

The next update will be getting the new storylines and quests same as normal and there's more coming later in the year which isn't always the case. There's also a new PvP system coming so not a shortage of things to do if you play both.

I was really apprehensive about the night market as I haven't done groups for a while, but have to say I'm loving it. You don't even need a massive group to do anything, had a lot of fun last night with just a tank and another DD running around doing quests

Regardless of your feeling about the Night Market or the offered content MMO does not mean forced group play. It means servers hosting a large amount of players simultaneously. There is absolutely no onus on players to group for content. YES, that means players need to accept some content is not for them, whether you want/choose to group or not. It's tiresome to see people attempt to shame people out of playing the way the game advertises they can. (That being said, I agree that the OP simply needs to not do the content, and move forward.)
Maythor: honestly we're getting the supermarket treatment here ... shrinkflation with the addition of simply moving things about so they seem fresher .. all the while being told a corporation is our friend :P

If it comes with strings, it ain't free. It isn't a gift with purchase; you were overcharged.

I_CraftwithPntButter: 2023 is the year your supposed to be doing better , remember ? (Still waiting)

KlauthWarthog: Well, they can definitely measure fun on their spreadsheets, otherwise they would not be able to nerf it so consistently.

I've been with this game since early beta, I say that all that time as if it's some kind of badge. I'm almost exclusively a solo player. I only do dungeons I can solo, and I avoid PvP like the plague.

I don't do PvP but a large portion of the game's population does. So when new PvP, or group content, comes out... I'm glad that population gets new content and hope they continue to support the game so content I enjoy will be coming sooner than later. Same is to be said for group content like Night Market. Though, the "Adventure Zone" called Craglorn got stale fast when it launched.... I fear the same for the NM, but that's a different topic.

In addition: People need breaks from games. I felt the Chapter format got stagnant and skipped Gold Road and Solstice until they were both on massive sale a year after launch. I'm back now, and enjoying the direction the game is going. Even though Night Market content is not for me. Maybe some time away, enjoy something else for a while, and come back and check this out again. I'm enjoying ESO all over again upon my recent return.

Is this an elaborate troll post? It's literally free, you did not pay for the night market, or if you did you've fallen for some kind of scam. ZOS is not even asking for your money here. Last year Q1 did you blow up and threaten to quit the game because you couldn't solo black gem foundry? Because that *WAS* paid content, and this is what we're getting instead of dungeons.

This weird entitlement that solo players have shown in the last several months is getting old. Every piece of content in this massively multiplayer online game does not need to be calibrated for your liking. And it’s not even that hard to find a group. Some of you are acting like this is the death knell of ESO just because it’s not to your liking. You don’t like it? Don’t do it. This is a video game, not a job or your life’s calling. There’s 98% of a whole game you can still play.

It's been shown multiple times over many years that more people play MMOs in majority solo-mode. That means there are almost certainly more "solo players" funding your gaming experience. Rather than this group being "entitled" as you put it, they simply want the values of the game they have been playing (and paying for) for years to be upheld - they don't want their play style to be excluded from new content and they have a right to express that.

I would also like to politely correct you: a massively multiplayer online game doesn't mean "big group game". It means a live game with many people playing at once. Your insinuation that MMO is equivalent to "group" is entirely wrong.

    Have a good one.

''You are a minority so every single update should be about me.''

Same language being used before to exclude pvp players from things are now being used to try to exclude pve'rs who like challenge.

If you want me to reply to your comment type @Ankael07 in it.

Someone compared the big boss to a harrow storm. I have two-personed those. I am getting "one-shot" left and right here by random trash. I put one-shot in quotes because it seems like I'm getting nailed by a pile of attacks at once as well as the normal one-shot.

I am on Xbox so don't know if there are performance issues specific to our platform but here is what I'm seeing:

    * Desync worse than anything I've seen in Cyrodiil. Several times I died and ran around for 5+ seconds before I actually died.
    * Buttons doing nothing for short periods
    * No damage numbers showing then I suddenly die. Many times I seemed to take 20K shots and nothing was visibly attacking me. Nothing on the ground, nothing behind me.
    * I break free from something, then stand there for 3-4 seconds till I'm dead or my buttons re-enable.

I don't mind getting owned by content that is better than I am. What I don't like is a game that has more performance issues than any MMO I have ever played that's when processing and internet speeds were a fraction of what we have now. It isn't as bad as Dragons on the Xbox One, not saying that. Just that at times you are going fine then it gets sluggish.

The first morning I found a big ball group things were ok. I wouldn't call it fun, but we rolled through some things. But since then, it seems the lag and performance has gone downhill. We ran around last night and tonight and the district we were in was mostly empty. We tried a skirmish tonight and advertised in zone chat and no one showed up. And one attempt was going well and the boss reset.

This was my worry about the overland suggestions. At times the game is great. Then at times you get hit for 55K by a mob that is 100 meters away from you - seriously, had a char being chased and the mob wasn't in ranged attack distance and I died to 23 attacks for 55K.
