I like it, but the pop cap might be way too low...trying to form a group is nearly impossible most of the day. it feels....empty

tried it, it is pretty much mandatory to group or you waste time. I will rather not do it than have second job after dayjob is over.

second job? so dramatic. These mobs are not that hard. It just requires doing anything but having your brain turned completely off.

All group listings I made today filled in under 1 minute.
Any position on the map is easily reachable for everyone by simply dying and jumping off the graveyard within the immunity time.
Only in one instance we had to many weak players and we struggled a bit on the Spiral Descender. I dropped group and made a second listing, and with two groups we were able to kill Bedina on top of the Descender.
I got full clears on all maps and all leads for the Shattered Path Signet within only a couple hours of playtime.
The players I encountered were engaged and it was fun to play with them. The fights were mostly difficult enough so that the vast majority of players made an active effort.
Dead people who didnt not resurrect for several minutes were removed from group and replaced within seconds.

It seems to me the main issue for some people is that they hope to find a full zerg in the exact instance and district they were placed when loading in. Making just the absolutely minute effort of engaging with the Group Finder completely avoids most of the complaints I have seen.

I think the problem is people thought it might be normal dungeon scaled, not vet dungeon/trail difficulty scaled

I think this may be a huge part of it.

I knew it was group content when I first heard about it.

BUT, the way that it was described, it made it sound like it was just slightly more difficult that public dungeon group content. That maybe I could get some kills in, not bosses, not elites, but just some of the general low levels. That I would see others enjoying the content and could hop in, like you do dolmens or world bosses.

Sure, I knew I needed a group, but I didn't think that not only would I die that easily to a trash mob while barely doing any damage to them, but that there wouldn't really be anyone to organically group *with*.

It is scaled like Normal Trials; hence, it requires a group.

Normal Dungeons don't really require a group. Normal Trials do.

Gave it a chance. Immediately got kicked from a group for not knowing a mechanic that was not explained at all.

Yeah, this is going to be a dumpster fire for people who have limited windows for playing the game.

I generally dislike PvE and this one is no different. But I still think that those who enjoy PvE deserve more challenging content. Almost everything in this game is so easy that I don't have any problem doing it with a years old no subclass one bar build. And even in the Night Market I can just stick to a group and get everything I need. I think it's crazy that ZOS has delivered almost all content over the past years for people that want easy overland content and now as soon as something is not made for you, you complain this hard.

I like that they think we all:

    a) Enjoy being beholden to finding groups
    b) Play at exactly the same times as everyone else

You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

I chose other. I generally like it and I don't mind it being made for groups at all (actually causes people in some guilds to play with each other, which I'm really fond of). The only problem that I have is the way some bosses just instantly kill you after you just spawned. I was literally running away from the spider boss, and even though I was still respawning and other players (not respawning) were around, it ran to me and killed me the second I spawned. Not sure if this is intended (it seems like a bug to be honest), but if it is, it's not really fun because I can't even prepare to fight it.

One fix would probably be to get rid of the small player cap they put on it. So that it is easier to organically group with people without having to be in a group to kill things. I think that would solve quite a bit of the difficulty issue and finding a group to kill anything

To me this feels like PVP; I only enjoy it when in a group or zerg. So I'll play it, do the quests, get the relics, die a lot and then probably will be done with it.

The conveyance is, as I brought up when I gave feedback on the PTS, absolutely horrendous. I was trying to get the race in Sorrow's Friend, and I understood to hit synergies on the void tears, but once I got five they just all up and disappeared. Nothing indicating where I should go, nothing saying "oh, this is on a timer", nothing. The puzzles have been horrid too, there's nothing giving you any idea on how to start or complete. And by the time you've gotten step one, the mobs have respawned. I was really looking forward to this event, and it's been a huge disappointment for me.

I have enjoyed it immensely and have been encouraged by the number of ongoing group and guild events this has brought out. People are playing for hooooouurs.

I did well in a 4 person team, which is what I'd expect.

I would have appreciated some things being made more clear, though the underlying logic wasn't hard to figure out once you got into it.

Would have enjoyed a few more mechanics on the boss instances, but not too much.

Ive seen a very few players stand there and do nothing but LA. That's a problem w the game's tutorial. Yall need to teach over time skills vs spam ones. WoW does in the first 30 minutes, and does it in character.

I'm LESS lookong forward to the solo "do puzzles on your own" "after spending all this time wandering overland and talking to NPCs" content that is ahead. I know I'll feel so frustrated, bored, and angry with that content.

That's ok. MMOs are a wide audience. I'll do something else during that time, but for now am enjoying Night Market.

As a mostly solo player, the difficulty doesn’t really hold me back; it’s easy to find a group in the group finder where people usually don’t even say hello, so it doesn’t really force players to socialize. However, after the second day, I’ve killed most of the bosses (except for the trial and dungeon bosses) and found most of the leads, and I’m starting to get bored there, because I don’t enjoy repeatedly killing the same bosses and mobs, and the rewards after getting fragments for the house aren’t motivating enough anymore. I expected there to be more activities or some kind of progression, like gradually unlocking new locations or more interesting quests in the districts, not just basic “find something” tasks.

For the most part there have been pugs available in the group finder during my 'playing hours'.

Is not 'optimal' but not 'terrible' either; skirmishes with pugs are an experience though

Soloing district dailies during downtime - using stealth - is achievable and reasonably quick (if you like that kind of thing).

Found most trash 'soloable' but a waste of time to do so.

Said that - master of the obvious moment - most fun I've had so far was this evening with a pre-made group and VC.

Still haven't done the dungeons and the trial, that will be next week.

All in all I am having fun with the content.

It's ridiculously hard...too many mobs and they respawn too fast. I dont play eso on tne same planet as the people creating this content. Im sad i cant participate. Cant even find groups for it.

I guess eso is miving towards the hardmide vet players and forgetting the rest of us.

"too many mobs and they respawn too fast"

Yea, this is problem. Once, you are respawned at the distanced position from your group, then
you can't reach your group location easily because of this. Need teleportation system like

Following is my "third impression" of the Night Market.

To summarize my earlier impressions, my first impression-- after going in solo on both PCEU and PCNA and being killed over and over just trying to clear the first mob-- was that it's very confusing, very difficult, and therefore very discouraging.

My second impression-- after going in solo a second time on PCNA, joining a group of other players, and running around all three districts killing mobs and bosses and completing quests-- was that it's very challenging, very chaotic, but also very fun if you're with a group that can handle the fights. Expect to die a lot-- unless you're a very powerful and/or very skillful player-- and expect to get lost just trying to find your way around so you can make your way back to your group after rezzing at one of the two safe rooftops.

My third impression-- after going in solo a second time on PCEU and not finding a group of other players to join up with-- is that you can actually do most or all of the repeatable district quests as a solo player, even if you aren't very powerful or very skilled. Most of the mobs can be successfully run past by healing yourself while they're attacking you, and then finding a safe spot between mobs where you can check your map to figure out which way to go next. The mobs seem to have somewhat tight areas of aggression, so in some cases you can get past mobs without aggroing them-- even if you aren't using invisibility potions or stealth gear/tactics-- simply by hugging walls or using the little alcoves which are strewn around the districts. And if you do aggro a mob, you can often run away while healing yourself, then the mob should lose interest once you get a little ways away from their normal hangout spot. By keeping patient-- and staying calm-- you can spend enough time wandering around to find the places where you can pick up repeatable district quests, figure out how to reach the places where quest objectives are, and successfully complete the quests and turn them in on the safe rooftops. You'll probably need to die a lot as you complete the quests, but you should be able to interact with the quest objectives even while being attacked, so your best tactic for completing a quest may be to let yourself get attacked and killed while trying to interact with a quest objective, then rez back on a rooftop, jump off, and head to the next quest objective.

I'm planning to put together some maps of the districts for myself, showing which routes are impassable-- even though they might look passable on the map-- as well as where each repeatable quest is picked up and where the quest objectives are, to help me go in (solo, if necessary) and do all of the daily district quests. I'll post them on the forums, unless someone beats me to it by making and sharing their own maps. This information might already be out there in the videos people have posted, but I don't like watching video guides if there's an illustrated write-up available, so I haven't seen any of those videos yet.

ok ok tonight i have been able to 100% solo in the NM , killing trash was easy , killing boss i had to change out of my solo all around build into my solo IA arc 8 build that made TTK a little low but nothing like if i was full tank but after finishing off main quest killing bosses my hands did get to hurting a little ( have had both hands broken at some point in life and right has been crushed due to fighting and working drilling rigs ) oh and i even died tonight something i aint done in a long time out side of pvp so i have now tested and played the night market both around a group of other solo and 100% solo no one around at all and i have a few things that might help others like it more

trash spawn times need to be longer apart
player count needs to be more as 36 leaves it a ghost town even at prime time only seen 8 other players in area at one boss and 6 at other with 3 of them being my soft group of solos that followed around where i went ( due solely in my belief because i wasnt dying in the boss fight where i first run into them )
awards are awards but theres nothing worth getting if all you get is old sets, junk to sale for gold , skill style pages ( tho they are cool , some of them at less they dont last long for the work it takes to get them )

i really think if these few things can get some love in the right direction more players would be happy with it , once they understand this wasnt made for solo players but if your GOOD at playing SOLO you can do it but its not the best way to do so otherwise ( remember this content took the place of dungeon's and you'll understand why its made for groups and centered around SKILL BASED GAME PLAY for VETERANS thats been asking for harder fights for over 10 years now )

I found it kind of fun to run around solo trying to avoid everything while finding and completing quests. I mean, it can take a long time to do that, so it isn't something I'd want to do every day for 7 weeks-- especially after the first week-- but I could see myself doing it that way on 2 or 3 days of each week.

Went in last night with a bunch of guildies who generally hate pve content and only pvp but we had a blast, and they said they finally felt like they had pve content they enjoyed. Personally as someone who played this game solely for the quests when I first started an then slowly learned group content, this finally felt like the game did as a new player when you still had to kite learn mechs and work as a team instead of burning it all down too fast to care. My group had heard the complaints and was hesitant to see what it really was and while it definitely was a challenge it wasn’t beyond what we could manage and the large group of players together tackled the biggest bosses. Once players learn the area and mechanics those things will improve. So thank you for something new and different (the duneripper mechs!) and giving us a challenge that I hope will teach this generation of players some new things.

It is a content issue. It is too difficult for the average player, and there are way more average players than others in this game.
