Any thoughts on this fella?

I was unable to engage him and he seemed to provide a small wall that allowed me to run past adds without being attacked until he got to a doorway and then it was game over for me.

Group boss? Furniture? He seems like he aught to be fun.

You have to get swallowed up and wind up in a bad place with a lot of poison stuff to engage this boss in a fight. It’s hard to explain but that’s the deal

I think I got swallowed into such place during the skirmish in the Parch. I was mightily surprised by this turn of events since there was nothing poison related during the skirmish (it was lighting rods related). Not sure if it was intended or not. Fought for a bit, noticed an "escape" option on the floor, and got spewed out in some weird place unrelated to the Skirmish. No idea what that was.

Yeah, its quite hard to get him to swallow you sometimes. I dint know if theres a trigger or timer or something, but I died to mobs three times standing in front of him trying to get him to swallow me. Doing damage didnt seem to do anything?

Then I got inside and died instantly and gave up

It’s a cool mechanism but I think it may need some tuning.

Yessirree. Got in his belly yesterday. It's pretty much like Fungal Grotto when you get ported into the cave with the spiders only with this guy it's poison. Managed to survive for about ten seconds before dying.

He dropped The Thousand Eyes helm motif 0 the same one we get from the Golden Pursuits at 30 od 40. I consumed it out of habit before realizing that. Seems REALLY stupid to me that ANY boss in Night Market would drop anything that we get just be earning it from playing. /shrug

Yep, you were consumed. Boss keeps moving even with people in its stomach. Had it today where we got swallowed but when the boss died, he was by a wall… and we all got stuck in the wall haha.

I was in a Parch group yesterday and we had already done the Dunegorger. A bit later we were doing the skirmish there we didn’t notice it had respawned and was cruising the skirmish area. 4 of us, including me, ended up being swallowed again 😂. We had to die and run back from the respawn area.

The fact it keeps moving during the encounter makes things interesting when it dies. We ended up in 2 groups of trash mobs and had to start fighting immediately.

Great design on this boss, aside from the getting stuck in the wall thing mentioned above.

I seem to always get swallowed when I'm alone, yet the one time I was with a group, and we were actually trying to get swallowed, it just didn't happen. I don't know what the requirements are to get there.

From what I can gather, you need to be in front it and be there when he surfaces with it’s mouth open.

Could it be buggy? Because when I did get swallowed a few times, I was on his side (and trying to run away lol). Then again, perhaps he did have his mouth open, I didn't look.

It’s a good fight in group. And you get 2 trade bars and a bunch of other stuff for defeating him if I remember correctly.

It's a super fun fight. It's one of the cooler things added to the night market, especially when most stuff is ripped straight from dungeons. I imagine that's what they meant when they said night market would scratch that dungeon itch.

More like this. Just make it a bit easier to get swallowed. I explained to my group last night, my guildmates understood and then we all got in the cone but only some of us got eaten. Others had to chase it and thankfully came in before we wiped. Great fight. Would definitely love to see more stuff like this.

The good thing about this boss I noticed is that it doesn't reset if you die, even fighting it alone. So eventually, you can solo it, chipping away at each of the poison pods inside it, each time you respawn.

The bad thing and it may have been a bug, the third time I killed it yesterday, it had no drops. It spit us out after we killed it and it's body just despawned really fast.

This is definitely one of the coolest Bosses of the Night Market! I found myself in there alone as a tank trying to figure out what was going on until some random dps fell in to save me😂 Good stuff! The fact that we all ended up there by accident definitely showed. But definitely worked out in the end😎

I nearly died laughing last night. There were two groups that were trying to do the Parch skirmish and they weren't paying attention. Seeing most of them just get eaten SENT me.

They didn't finish that skirmish for a bit. :D

I hope that, if the Night Market doesn't stick around permanently, that this boss will in some capacity. Absolutely love this guy.
