How would you feel about raising gear cap to cp 170, and introducing perfected dungeon sets?

No, I like it the way it is.
This is a good way to kill games. Just keep adding more and more powerful stuff so that only an elite level of character with the most powerful Meta set of gear and skills rules everything.

Archeage followed this pattern. Started out Top Gear Score was around 7k. Updated, made new stuff, went to 10k, repeat process to 15k, repeat process to 20k - with PVE locations requiring 8k just to enter. What is the attraction for a new player to begin playing a game, when they evaluate this process?

Archeage had 3 companies run it into the ground. That's what can happen to what was a game with Very good aspects to it.

Raising cap is a horrible idea. It has stayed at cp150 on purpose. Why would you want to make people re-fetch the same gear at a higher level? With the sticker book, it would actually just be making people craft gear they already have at a higher level. Pretty pointless.

As far as perfected goes, why? We don't need more powerful gear. We just need new and interesting combinations. Honestly, I would rather no new gear as there are already way too many sets. But it they can come up with fresh ideas outside of just larger numbers, that is cool.

Considering everything in the game scales to CP160, and would presumably scale to 170 if that was introduced, there would be no practical difference between the two. You'd be forcing everyone to re-create every set of gear they have for absolutely no reason except the cost and inconvenince of doing so.

If you think the game needs a material sink or whatever there are far better ways of doing it than temporarily annoying everyone.

    Yes to all.
We have a good source for perfected gear already, vet trials. And, frankly, almost 100% of the dungeon sets with very few exceptions are really bad and not viable for endgame. They should be considered staple gear only.

Please don't try to divert ZOS from their more important work, like bugfixing and developing new content - overland zones, new dungeons and trials and (fingers crossed) PVP. Only a small fraction of the playerbase would really enjoy new, more sweaty dungeon difficulty. If you want sweaty content, do trifectas or vets solo. Those are considered HM+.

I don't why you think this would significantly "divert" resources of developer team, all the features to make this possible are already in the game, nothing super new would be added. Updating dungeon sets to have one extra additive on 5 set piece bonus line/adding extra 2 piece monster set bonus for beating the dungeon on "nightmare/challenge" mode, is something that can be done very fast, thats why I am not saying "lets go redo mechanics for each dungeon" or add new content to existing dungeons, as this will probably never happen.

Thing is, raising gear cap wouldn't "force" anyone to re-grind every set they have, nor would adding perfected dungeon gear, if you collected them already you could just re-create it via transmute station for the basic set, creating a sink for the transmute gems. As mentioned before, difference between 160 and 170cp gear would be 1-2% increase, so its ironic that people who claim to be "casuals" are complaining that they would absolutely have to regrind all gear to chase this "meta" 1-2% increase. Same people are also complaining about "raising cap every year" when last time the cap was reworked was 11 years ago. So from mathematical perspective, this math isn't mathing.

No just no. there's no point anyways to raising gear cap I have to refarm or spend thousands of transmutes to do like 2% more damage just no not worth the dev time not worth yours or my time to do any of that.

No, because I don't want to farm dungeons again. :)

And some extras like 1096 mag or stam or reg is not necessary in the most dungeon sets.

I don’t think we need new gear - we need a comprehensive re-write / refresh of a load of existing sets.

There are literally hundreds of set that are effectively worthless - make them better.
