"Empty" Rewards for The Worthy?

Have a bunch saved on an alt that I open once a day (if I remember) for the transmutes. Just opened one and all it had in was those and a script, both as-well-as rewards rather than the main event.

Does this happen often or is it a new bug? Could it be because they're old boxes?

some of those moths from the moth priests went rogue? must not be feeding them enough
