it works, too.
my playtime on eso has dropped from hours to minutes almost overnight.
working as intended?
So...the existence of optional tasks for cosmetics made you lose interest in whatever you were just spending hours on just yesterday? Seems odd.
It's post like these that remind me that the plot is lost on a lot of people. The golden pursuit is to prepare players for the Night Market, meaning this pursuit is about team work since progress in the Night Market requires and incentives playing in a group.
That said, to encourage people to play in a group, they made challenges that require you to... (You probably want to sit down for this) Play in a group.

This, you can even do them in normal but non dlc vet is pretty low stress I say.I'm going to put on my horn-rimmed glasses (with obligatory tape) and break out the "well, actually..." for this. No, you do not need to be in an active group to complete those "while grouped" dungeons. Get a friend or guildie to group with you and then go solo whatever you want to go solo. As long as neither of you enters another group, leaves the group, or enters a solo instance of something, then you're grouped as far as the pursuit is concerned. It's not checking for multiple players in the dungeon, only that the player is grouped. I've used that to good effect during events which "encourage" grouping.
For a two-fer, do the pledge dungeons (get the pledge first, though). Actually, that's a three-fer because the pledge counts as a quest and there is a pursuit for that, too.

The thing is that, except for very few instances (from what I've been told optional for the main things people might want to get - the house and house updates), the Night Market won't need people to be grouped.

And the chore list isn't actually meaningfully preparing people for group content either. All you need for chore completion is having your character in "grouped with another person" status, there's no need to actually run the dungeons or fight the world bosses together - the person you're grouped with can be in a completely different zone, of even offline.
The house you don’t need to group for. The wing unlocks you do. It’s a perfectly usable house without the wing unlocks, I found the unlocks disappointing, actually. But yeah, you could only get maybe 2 fragments for the relics solo. Out of 8 or so.
Buy 3 more accounts when ESO is on sale for $4.99 then be your own group and never have to worry about MMO'ing again.

Seriously? Because it's a MMO.

Someone else posted just yesterday that you would not need that for the extra rooms. Are those relics inside those 4- and 12-player instances? Or would it be possible to get them while just tagging along with a mass of random people ungrouped?
