I don't like the new golden pursuits and the notifictions even less

There needs to be some way to dismiss the notices for golden pursuits. I find body and face markings distasteful and i don't want them attached to my account. Theres no way to make the notice go away except to take the "reward". If i have no choice but to accept it then it hardly feels like a reward but a mandated punishment at that point. There def needs to be some polite way to dismiss the notices about the golden "rewards" because some of those "rewards" i find offensive. please and thank you.

I'm just curious, what about the markings are "offensive"?

I understand if someone doesn't want to collect a cosmetic and want it added to their account. I already have too many pets I never use so may skip this one so I don't have more "never going to use this" cosmetics to scroll through.

But I am genuinely curious about the actual offense as it is going over my head.

I agree there should be some way to clear the notification without picking up the reward. I don't think it matters why players don't want it, we should have the option to skip it if we want to, without having to avoid playing during the golden pursuit or being constantly nagged to accept something we don't want.

yah i think if you need your curiousity satisfied, there's calixo's house of curiousities in skyrim to meet your taste. I'm of the opinion that asking someone their reason's why they are offended is just trolling for an argument. No thanks to that.

I'm not. You could have made the request without volunteering additional information then I suppose. I just found your reasoning unusual so was curious.

I looked at the rewards and had a very hard time figuring out what was wrong with them, but whatever.

The emote is confounding, and I don't care about the pet, but might get them just by playing. Really just wanted the markings and seals (although I can't even remember what seals are for since endeavours are no more.)

It feels very in my face and breaks the immersion of the game. ESO already is a game that puts effort to give less stuff on the screen and that immersion feeling, but it feels like this is pushed into your face like a casino or bloody Korean grinding MMO. ESO not that style but it feels like it.

They're for exactly the same thing as they were for before; getting crown crate items.

All that's changed is the name and how we get them - they're one of the rewards rather than the whole deal. I think even the average available over time will still be the same too

I agree with the option to hide the golden pursuits notification would be nice.

As a temporary solution, couldn't you just take the rewards and never see the popup again once completed? You know this won't be fixed any time soon, and from the words you're typing this is causing great distress.

Your third post on this thread prompted a temporary solution to take items you don't want which you can leave to rot in your collections as the notification will remain. Well, you either get the notification or you get the reward currently.

As a side note, make downvotes an option please ZOS.

^ This. I grabbed a complete motif style book yesterday using my recently topped-up seals. One more 14/14 in the lore library!

Stop picking a fight with me. I already plainly said i do not want them and that they are offensive to me. Suggestion i do the very thing thats said in OP is harassment.

I can remember a thread years ago that was about absolutely not wanting daedric items in one's collection because they represent the veneration of demons/evil and therefore a cultural taboo for that person. If I needed to guess I'd think this is probably a similar case.

In any way, I think people can reject what ever they wish to reject, no need for explanations.

Unfortunately, there's no way to do that with golden pursuit rewards yet (and if tome rewards really have an auto-claim function, that will probably also have people end up with items they don't want).

    The conversation going:

"I'm offended by the rewards" (Which are basic Rogue markings)
    "Why?"
    "Stop trolling"

To be quite unpleasant and unnecessary. If they don't want to reply to people, they can just ignore the question rather than accusing them of trolling or harassing them. I think if you make a request of the devs to spend time on something, having a reason for asking them to make changes can be helpful, and more so if the reason seems like many other players would have the same thought process.

Anyway, the forums have tools to remove myself from situations like this so I used them.
