Complete 15 Crafting Quests
Loot 5 Treasure Chests
Harvest 50 Resources from the World

Twenty options, rewards at 2, 4, 8, 12, 16.

As covered in a number of other threads already, ten pursuits explicitly require being grouped with another player, and a further one to three effectively do (depending on how comfortable you are soloing six or twelve Undaunted Pledges within one week). In contrast to previous Golden Pursuits, none of these accept a Companion as 'grouping'.

Edit: Chilly-McFreeze posted in another thread that 'Defeat x World Bosses While Grouped' appears to work with a Companion after all.

Thanks for this post. It seems that there are a lot less pursuits to choose from this time around.

No, defeating world bosses with a companion doesn't count. I tried it yesterday.

Not for me. Also a player showed up and auto-group doesn't work.

Perhaps we are being prepared for disappointment? I'm not sure how the rewards are preparing for much other than, "is that it?". What I really really needed was another pet to be ignored and never used and another emote that I'm sure someone at zos thought is an absolute killer emote and will be used by everyone, but will be ignored also. Body and face markings? meh put them in the sticker book with everything else, close it stick it in the bottom of the wardrobe.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Yesterday I beat two different WBs with a companion. One counted and one didn't. So it's a crapshoot.

aside from the seals, do you want the other 'rewards' ?

Not me. I very rarely use emotes, and I do not like that particular pet. While I do not have issues with grouping, I'm not planning to get the last two rewards on purpose (already got the seals, so done with this pursuit).

What I'm more confused about is how any of this actually prepares anyone for the Night market LOL

I imagined crafting (not just daily writs) to be a part of that, in which is something I did myself.
    Hoping for more playable races.

I just want werewolf to be viable in endgame PvE T.T (which not allowed according to PTS update 50)

As evidenced by all these threads a lot of people don't like grouping, so I guess this prepares them mentally for night market being rough for nongroupers.

If it comes down to the Nightmarket effectively not being playable solo, I will not be participating. I have plenty of houses I never use already. There is plenty of content in other games I can play instead. I am sure that is what ZOS wants me to do, go play other games instead of theirs. Their choice, I will be entertained either way.

I expect it to be the same situation as with the Writhing Fortress last year: You can just run with the swarm.

i suspect it to be another addition to eso that i won't use.

Remember back when the cartoon network first came out? they did things like space ghost coast to coast - where they did mock interviews with clips from the cartoon presented in a talk show format. They literally created content from existing content just to show off what could be done to generate revenue? Remember that? They were not given a budget until they could prove they had the kutzpah. I kinda feel like that's where eso is at now and i am wondering for how much longer it might exist.

as someone whos tested the night market there is nothing in this golden that gets you ready for it as you dont HAVE to group up to play in the area , you dont have to be grouped to get awards , but here they are making you group for awards sad way to push players together seems that be more toxic than grouping in GF as now everyone is upset they HAVE to group and thats going to end badly for them that want to slow play lag around in activity as the others will hit the floor running to get activity done and free from group of other players .... just another way for zos to spread around the toxicity of their game onto everyone

I have another theory. For me ZOS is pushing grouping to differentiate one golden pursuit from the other creating a "theme" for each golden pursuit.

The problem with this is that golden pursuits still resemble the tome too much resulting in a task list on top of the other.
Rewards are good but all events, golden pursuits and tome challenges are fetch quests.

I remember the old times when the game was in beta and someone promised "we are striving not to have any fetch quest"...

Well, you can debate whether these things actually prepare you for the Night Market or not – but I think the pet is cute, though I probably won't get it because I don't like group stuff. But that's my personal problem.
Here on the forum, though, I get the impression that there is only ever negativity.
People have different interests and tastes; I don't run around constantly complaining about why the world isn't tailored to my personal preferences. If I don't like something, I simply ignore it. And next time I'll be happy if there's something that exactly suits my taste.

as the player thats how we should take it , but as the developer they should be looking to hit on all play styles in a game they say PLAY AS YOU WANT and states that one of their main goals is to make it fun for ALL

Considering it was basically impossible to solo on the PTS, then yeeeeah.

Some apex people will try to claim otherwise, and the devs did claim they will make it a tiny TINY bit easier, but we don't yet know what that looks like.

you have to be grouped but not kill the same world boss so you could group with several people and everyone kills other world bosses separately so this one can be done really quickly

I hate grouping but I lucked out in Wrothgar at Unfinished Dolmen. Grouped with 2 others got my challenge and 3 golden Pursuits done, the kill wbs while grouping. It was super easy and done in 25 mins.

Always a ton of people there and takes little work, just have to tag bosses.

my PC account is my sub account as i main PSN and using it in the night market solo wasnt an issue at all ... cp 1500 , none meta gear , was able to kill mobs and mini bosses , was able to run around freely doing quest , and had no issue killing a main / big boss with the help of 1 other solo player involved in the fight ... so to say its impossible is wrong as my 2800 cp meta gear main should beable to do everything with ease , since my sub account thats weaker was able to handle it as well as it did

They don't lol, except grouping I guess, but that's... still a weird and nonsensical way of doing it.

If they were genuine in preparing players for it, they'd help them towards getting gear that actually works, in a world where 90% of sets are worthless garbage.

You don’t have to participate, just do the intro quest by yourself and you get the house. You just wouldn’t get the extra rooms without participating.

this has 0 to do with the night market , if anything its giving it a bad name before its even released as now everyone will think you must be grouped to play in it or to get awards and 100% you dont!!!!!

I defeated 3 world bosses in Deshaan:
    - Short Tusk (counted as 4)
    - Abomination (counted as 2)
    - Bramblebatch (finished the pursuit)

My best guess is that it counted the other players there, not per se the ones you are grouped with.

By far the biggest problem with this is the short timeframe, especially since we're going to miss out on a full 12+ hours on one day due to maintenance. If these are supposed to be fun and rewarding rather than stressful, this is not the way to do them.

After looking at it the first day, only thing I wanted was the body marking which I found to be kinda cool. Still sitting at 7 completed and no plans of going further with it.

Don't even like the emote (which I barely use) or the pet (I prefer canines/feline pets anyways) which I find hideous anyways.

I'll probably do the beginning quest line for Night Market which I am to understand is solo but then I'll be going back to whatever quests/zone I was doing anyways.
