I am surprised a role-playing game as robust as Elder Scrolls Online hasn't decided to invest resources in bringing a VOIP / Proximity chat system to the game on PC. I think this would instantly make the game so much more engaging for people wanting to roleplay and would probably allow for a roleplay community to be developed on twitch even more than it does already. This idea came to me because of the recent press in Elder Scrolls Skyrim and their roleplay server that introduced voice chat and roleplaying as a key component to their modded world. You can see what they did at their website
Keizaal Online.
Consoles already have a voice chat, but I believe that is through the Xbox and not built directly into the game. I know this would cost time and resources, but I think the payoff would be awesome and create some new and fun ways to engage with the game while allowing people to turn off proximity chat if they don't want it.
Any thoughts on this Zenimax / Bethesda? Let's turn this game into a role-player's dream!
