Dragonguard's Quarry - kill dragon, loot dragon, quest not completed

3 times in the past 7 days different characters of mine have completed the Dragonguard's Quarry quest, the kill and loot the dragon, then I look at my quest, and it still says "Kill a dragon in Southern Elswyre." I've put in bug reports, but I never hear anything.

Is anyone else having this issue?

    Always worth checking: did you kill it in Southern Elsweyr? The ones in Northern Elsweyr do not progress this quest.

    I was doing one of those a day during the Anniversary event, and it worked fine for me each time.

    These kills were in Southern Elswyre. I also do this in Northern Elswyre, and I've never had this issue there.

    It happened two more times this morning on the same character. NO ONE from support has ever helped me with this, no replies to my multiple bug reports, that's why I'm bringing it up here.

    Wild question, but does the character in question have Tideholm and all its services unlocked? More specifically, the character didn't get the quest via Sharing from another player? (I've never tried to share that quest so don't know if you can with characters who haven't unlocked Chizbari The Chipper)

    If you file bug reports, you won’t get a response. It even says so when you submit them. Those go directly to the devs, and you may or may not see a fix (provided a bug exists).

    To get a response, file a help ticket instead. It’s a different menu in game and different category on the website.

    Just be aware that Support isn’t always particularly knowledgeable about bugs. In the same thread they once told me a bugged lorebook would “never” be fixed and also would be fixed “soon.” Most often, if they think it’s a bug, they will say they have forwarded it as such or encourage us to do the same (which you have).

    Sometimes it may help to post a video so the devs can see what’s going on, especially when it isn’t happening to many other players.

    VIrtus 753 Thank you. It seems to effect only one of my characters. Pretty strange bug. I can't do videos, I clicked something to make my computer more secure, and now gamebar videos don't work. I have no idea what it was I clicked, so I can't fix it.

    That seems strange then, if it’s only one character. They did do the Dragonguard quests like Ralphy asked?

    In that case with video unavailable it might be possible to use a screenshot of the quest active with you next to a dead dragon in S. Elsweyr. You might have to either upload it here and include the link to this thread in a bug report or help ticket, or with a help ticket you could reply with that image attached.
