Give the option to turn Sentimental items into Collectibles to free space

There are so many threads about inventory management, and things like the Stickerbook and the Furnishing Vault have been very helpful, but more can be done. What if players had the option to turn Sentimental items into Collectibles? It would have it's own category and each item converted would have a little description about what the item is and where it came from. This way the player would free up space without losing the memory.

I don't know how this could be accomplished. Maybe the player could put their own description about the item. But I feel this would help a lot of players free up inventory space without losing things that are valuable to them.

would that be things like the named equipment we get as quest rewards?

I think it could be anything, but players would probably choose things they can no longer get in game, or other sentimental items. I would turn "Darien's Promise" into a collectible.

I've been keeping a few of these because they feel significant for one of my characters, and I think it would be great to be able to just turn them into a list and free inventory space in the process. Keeping them is just a roleplaying thing for me, they never really get used as armor/weapons anyway.

If a player ever decided they wanted to use an item they transformed into a collectible, maybe they could restore it somehow, similar to how the transmute system works.
