Squishy Sorcerer - I need help

OK, so I burned through the first 50 levels. Believe I was VR1 by April 10th. I am now VR4 (literally just got it with the last quest I turned in). I have had many issues I hope you can help with.

I have respec'd 11 times now (at a mere cost of over 120k gold) in the last six weeks trying to find a way to survive two and three mob pulls. AoE does not give me enough damage, magika doesn't regen fast enough, single target killing lasts too long of mobs hitting me while I deal with the other mob. I have tried wearing plate (which reduced my magika regen even more), I have tried switching weapons. I have spent more then 100k on repair bills, and gathered enough mats to switch out complete sets more then seven times (I stopped counting after VR1).

I have gotten to the point that when I see a tunnel. I take off all my gear as I know going through the tunnel trying to kill the mobs is just going to take more time and get me killed anyway. I run as far as I can before dieing and rez there. I have died more then 80 times in the last two days, I am now out of soul stones. It took me just over two hours last night to get the last 30k xp required. I did a ton of quests, but, they are chain quests that you don't get anything until you have done six or seven side quests.

I can't do VR4 this way, if someone has any good advice / spec / rotation for a soloing sorcerer, please pass it on.

Look me up and we will team up (I'm VR7) sorcerer and am now at the point where solo must come to an end .

Wow...how did you get to 50?

Not trying to be a smartarse, but I've found play at VR1-3 (and I've hunted in the vr5 areas) to be about the same as the earlier zones.

For sorc, the easy mode setup is pick a wpn, doesn't matter which one, I am leveling swd/shld at the moment, on you bar run Shard, Fury (or curse), wpn skill (or anything else), dark conversion and pet, for ultimate I prefer the Atronach.

Come up on a grp of three...pop one with shard. Hold up your shield, give the pet a sec to get aggro, I generally strafe in a circle while doing this and continue nuking the first mob, 2-3 shards and a fury generally kills it, then move to mob 2, shard 1-2 times and finish with fury, if the third hasn't been killed by the splash damage, click dark conversion (which makes you nearly unkillable and regens your mana/health) then nuke the last one. Takes about 7-8 seconds. Rinse and repeat.

Now my pt spread is 30 magicka, 17 health, 2 stamina - because I initially went magicka, I run health glyphs on all my gear with infused or divine and then run with MAge for my mundus.

I run around 2k health 1800magicka and 1300 stamina. I rarely get hit, so am thinking about shifting some of that health back to magicka.

I run seducer, magnus, ashen grip and warlock for my sets.

I have no problem killing most things, grps of 5 can cause me problems, but I just trade out the wpn skill for a CC or bolt and can finish them off.

I have the same problem in vet area it's reLly just about fining the right rhythm. I use lighting flood shard and just switch betwen the other skills, and I am also use sword and bored

If you have three mobs, you theoretically got one lose.

Mob 1 is on you,
Mob 2 is on your pet,
Mob 3 is ...

That's where CC comes in handy, take out mob three with CC and focus on the mob that attacks you. Once this is down either renew the CC on Mob three or assist your pet. After the mob of your pet is down, you go to the final third mob.

Its all about tactic´s, make sure to never have more than one mob on either you or your pet. You are not a tank, so you need to keep the incoming damage at an absolute minimum.

But I would also advice to play with passer byes

, they are on the same quest as you and they are probably as happy about some assistance as you are.

NPCs are stupid. Lay Deadric mines, rune prison one (ranged target) and play ring around the mines. I have the morph of it that puts 5 mines down and can kill 2 easily then kill the one in the rune prison. If they get to close use streak morph of bolt escape, and lay down some more mines. You will burn alot of magic this way so time your strikes while they are grabbed by the mines for the crit bonus.

Focus on a single skill line, I like dark magic because of health back when dealing damage and extra crit chance. Destruction staff goes VERY well because it counts as a spell and passives are great. Mage light is also a must. I set my 2nd bar to things like mines, surge and dark deal.

I have run through mobs before and died because I did not want to fight them but it is expensive! LOL
