come to the forums and see what players complain about the most as being op

choose that class and subclass any others

be sure to use the skill they complain about wanting to nerf

you will have a good time playing then, at least for a while.

it what works for me.

For pvp the problem I see new players fall into is the eye candy proc sets or meta sets. New pvpers should pretty much just focus on raw mechanics, situational awareness, and forming weaves.

I would always just suggest making a dummy straightforward build without complex combos or anything that requires advanced setup time. Honestly now with subclassing the most straightforward playstyle for new players has always been stamblade, so you can slap on assassination and run surprise attack, impale, merciless, and incap which is the most straightforward generic kit to understand.

Gear I would just go with stats again. Monomyth+bloodspawn+Rallyingcry backbar+shattered fate or orders wrath frontbar. Which can be setup in a day. 7 impen, 3medium 3 heavy 1 light. Sharpened weapon frontbar powered backbar. Shadow mundus because its 2 mundus in one. Then throw on jewels of misrule. Swift jewelry traits can help you use speed to make up for situational awareness mistakes, but it will reduce your damage and healing considerably.
    I only use insightful
BG MMR should NOT reset, zos sponsored smurfing is a terrible design choice.
PvP needs more incentives, even simple potion mats or gold would be better than rewards for the worthy inventory bloat
