Just remember they may be free in a few years. As long as it is cosmetics it is optional. Some of the cosmetics like the twilight but not the matching scamp are a disappointment. I wouldn't think a reskin would be that hard to do at the same time.

With respect to balance issues, hybridization, scribing, and subclassing happened. Now they're trying to "Rebalance" the game without touching any of those things that are actually creating the balancing issues, which is ONLY going to result in more balancing issues.

This is kind of like alcoholism to be honest. You have to be able to admit what the problem is before you can actually fix the problem. While I believe the new dev team is sincere in their desire to make improvements to the game and they're doing their best to make QoL changes to improve the game, I haven't heard ANY devs admit what the root of the problem is with respect to balancing issues, and so I have no faith that what they are going to do to the game over the next 2 years won't be a hot mess.

Want to fix balancing issues? Address the elephant in the room first. Otherwise, might as well not even bother.

I actually like the increased pricing. Helps create greater separation from the "haves" and have "nots".

A point of view I have a hard time understanding, given we are talking about pixils lol.

I would hope they're trolling. Though in today's world, you never know.

I'll try to be more direct for clarity. The less people can afford those pixels, the more I'm willing to buy it. It makes me feel special, and powerful. This isn't trolling, it's me being honest. It really falls more closely in line with arrogance, or ego in my opinion.

I'm not asking for a thank you, but only, consider this: It's the cash cows or 'whales' who have the means, that contribute in a large part to keeping the lights on and development pressing on in a game that we all get to enjoy.

Don't get me wrong though, those 'without' still serve their purpose. After all, they provide the contrast in which I measure my upper-class status in Tamriel.
CP3003+ 10,500 hrs spent in BGs. US PS5 - 12 PVP Tanks - toons named variations of "Combat Medic" I like long walks on the beach. What's PVE? https://www.youtube.com/brakkish

Wow. Just wow. I believe the answer to the OP's questions can be summed up pretty succinctly after that gem.
Maythor: honestly we're getting the supermarket treatment here ... shrinkflation with the addition of simply moving things about so they seem fresher .. all the while being told a corporation is our friend :P

If it comes with strings, it ain't free. It isn't a gift with purchase; you were overcharged.

I_CraftwithPntButter: 2023 is the year your supposed to be doing better , remember ? (Still waiting)

KlauthWarthog: Well, they can definitely measure fun on their spreadsheets, otherwise they would not be able to nerf it so consistently.

I think most gamers are usually more impressed by what people accomplish in-game than how many crowns they bought.

Special titles from trials or achievements would make me feel more respect, if you could call it that, than a lucky purchase or crown crate pull. That's just me though.

I prefer things that are more cosmetic to be more widely available. It's really nice for people to access the small joy putting together a look can bring in an MMO. On that note, I'm also more inclined to be in awe of someone who puts together a cool look. Expensive can still be garish lol.

Store in a game, unless it's light like in WoW, is a major -1 to play the game in question for me. Don't ask for why I play to ESO though, I won't get you a good answer, well yes, good mecanics, not cartoony, realistic, immersive...

But the store is definetly a BIG -1 and once I find, say, a new warhammer mmo that I know will not be abandoned mid-way and IS good (The Empire not a piece of crap ala WH RPG 1st ed and WH battle), ESO, it's over for me.

...but it may take a while, so I stick anyway... :)

Also yes the balance is also awful lol. What the heck... my good sir.
