Feature request: Auto-close launcher on pressing Play (for Linux users)

Hi, I have a simple feature request for the ESO Launcher: Auto-close the launcher on pressing the Play button.

The reason for this is that on Linux there's some issues with Proton selecting the correct window for the mouse cursor grab. The launcher has to be closed for the cursor to be grabbed by the game correctly.

Having a simple option to auto-close launcher on game start fixes this problem.

I'd love this for Windows too because sometimes I get stuck on "loading character select" I believe it says, and if I tab out and close the launcher it will immediately load into character select. Then of course there is also the issue with the launcher being frozen for a minute after closing the game. Just having an option to make it close itself when you press play would fix all those things

Yeap that would be cool but dev gives cool things too late...

for now workaround is in steam launch option (it will close launcher after few sec after pressing play)

My workaround for this, and has been for 12 years, is to use a Shortcut directly to the EXE for ESO. I never use the Launcher unless the game needs to be patched. The game will tell me when it needs to be patched, so no need to use the launcher unless required. This should work for Steam too if you have Steam already running.

As for news, I am told with one of the Splash Screens what the current Event is, so even less need for the Launcher.

I call it the Patcher and treat it that way.
