Can we please get any information about Tales of Tribute?

Title.

I know the card game isn't very popular, but ever since Season of the Worm Cult each year brought something new for Tales of Tribute. In 2025 we got nothing and in all of the streams / directs about 2026 I haven't heard or read one single word about Tales of Tribute.

Can we please get official clarification on

a) if we get a new deck this year
b) if anything else is planned for ToT or
c) if decks and cards get rebalanced adjusted.

If the feature has been abandoned, please tell us, it's better to know the hard truth than to be left unknowing about its future.

I don't think the feature has been abandoned but to be frank (although I'd like to be Steve) about it, the devs are currently busy overhauling alot of different things such as the recently added Overland difficulty to PVP in Cyrodill and other long overdue changes.

I personally don't mind waiting a year or two for a new deck. Im an avid ToT player but it's more of a side feature than anything.

I'm okay with the slowdown because we need something other than new patrons. That already has gotten to be a bit too much, IMO. Hopefully we get some new feature/mechanic to refresh the game.

Given the premise that all future content will be free to all players, I think it unlikely ToT will see anything substantial until High Isle becomes base game. What it would take for that to happen I have no idea. Greymoor is becoming free to accommodate next year's skyrim zone, so it woud likely require a catalyst of similar significance.

While they had not directly responded to Eidetic complaints/asks for comment, the new pts had a good start for longstanding Eidetic issues (and hopefully they add more before the pts cycle ends) and I take that as a good sign for other systems that have yet to get commentary. It is worth noting also that while it does not list ToT as a source, the Alessian Rebel style on the pts seems to be a preview confirmation of them continuing the Tales of Tribute related outfit styles (which good because we only had 3/12 so far and it would be a good way to source new styles/motifs this year). The bad news is they are currently listed as rewards for some of the new overland encounters instead.
    Preview for style under cut:

While I too would still like something tangible in terms of a reply, I'm hoping that this might mean silence means they might be quietly working on some stuff already. Still, at least on the new patron support it would be nice to have a "not at this time" quote to reference such as what they did for new races, classes, etc, especially since I think it would have been cool to make decks related to the Night Market patrons for additional stuff (maybe in a future rerun?).

I do agree it feels like they have a lot of ways they could support ToT this year without major effort or shifting teams off other more urgent matters and I hope we see them do that. I'm also aware their hands are slightly tied until High Isle is base game so maybe we get some more attention after that.

I'd take the infinite archive here to, doesn't seem to have been touched after the last update. Nice that furnishings were added to the rotating vendor, but actually grinding for the currency is a bit of a drag after a while.

I too, would really love to hear /anything/ about ToT, even if it is on the shelf for the forseeable future.

    Still getting flashbacks hearing that town crier everywhere;

"Hear ye, cardsharps and collectors! Test your wits and courage in a brand new card game—Tales of Tribute!"

I don’t mind that we’re getting nothing (okay, I do mind, but that’s not the point), but at least I would like to have some clarity.

Why is it so difficult to just say no? Tales of Tribute was nowhere to be seen during directs (unless I missed it or don’t recall anymore), so I don’t even think it will be a surprise release or whatever.

I just think we (few) ToT players shouldn’t be completely ignored or left out and get an update on the state of Tales.

Because regardless how innocuous the statement or context, moments after saying "no" content creators and clickbaitz bloggers across the globe flood the interwebz with headlines like "ESO Creators Put the Kibosh on Legacy Game Feature!!"

They have to be very careful when determing if, when, and how to answer such questions. Unfortunately for the players, sometimes the best option is to remain silent until a more acceptable opportunity rises.

In addition to new/seasonal ToT content, what would help players engage with it is adding High Isle to the basegame, but at this rate that's still years and years away (if it ever happened).

ToT dialogue refers to Gonfalon Bay and has a very expensive voice actor, so it's hard to make ToT alone part of basegame. Luckily, they maybe anticipated this for Scribing and were able to keep that separate. But ToT is sort of locked.

It would be nice if the whole tutorial and ability to play were unlocked completely from the group menu like dungeons and battlegrounds. Especially if it meant not needing to start the quest on new characters.

I mean if we're lucky High Isle might be part of the base game next year, but still. I was one of those who clowned about ToT as a Chapter feature, but it's become one of my favourites in ESO.

I know putting dev resources on something that's rather unpopular makes no sense, but there's still hope.
