Idea: add indicator for challenge difficulty

I think it would be really cool if every player who plays in challenge difficulty would have a little indicator next to the level/cp

It could be like:
No challenge (Adventurer): nothing
Seasoned: bronze- themed icon
Master: silver-themed icon
Vestige: golden-themed icon

This way all other player can see what you are up to :)

    What reason would any one person need to know what difficulty someone else has chosen? Besides trying to whisper “lol ur a noob” to anyone who picked a lower difficulty.

    Not everyone in this game is an *** bro
    Why are there titles then? Are you telling people that they are noobs if they don't have your cool title? Or why are levels/cp visible for everyone? Who is calling a lower level a noob? Nobody does this.

    One benefit could just be that it you see another Vestige for example, you can ask him directly to group up with me and not say " lol noob" why would you even come to this conclusion first? The negativity is so exhausting.

    Would be a great way to find others who are playing on a higher difficulty, so you could group up with em to tackle the tougher overland content together.

    Exactly. And sure it could add a little "prestige" but how is that bad? Isn't gear a little prestige too? I don't see the problem here at all.

    Seeing another vestige or master in the open world and knowing they know what they are doing and asking them maybe even for advice or grouping up could be a push to the random-social aspect

    It would make sense to understand why some players take more damage or seem less effective than others. It would be more useful than the alliance rank symbol which isn't relevant in overland.

    Aside from the heckling mentioned in the previous reply, it could serve as a catalyst for other forms of griefing. Like adventure difficulty players intentionally mowing down monsters engaged with vestige difficulty.

    Yes, not all players are like that. But online gamers as a whole have proven time and time again that they're incapable of maintaining even a modest amount of civility when put to the test.

    Something like: I’m playing on a lower difficulty, I see a player fighting a boss in a delve. I notice they have the Vestige symbol—alright, I won’t jump in, so I don’t ruin their experience.

    I don’t know, it just feels like the decent thing to do.

    Tbh i dont look at peoples cp, pvp rank etc now so adding another icon will just be more ui fluff i would want to turn off to minimise excess visual clutter

    Be nice, got no desire to get hate whispers for jumping in to help someone that looks like they are struggling only to find out they were on one of the higher difficulty options and I somehow robbed them of their hard fought victory.

    I agree this is more the reality that would come from the situation.
    It would make sense to understand why some players take more damage or seem less effective than others. It would be more useful than the alliance rank symbol which isn't relevant in overland.

    This is the only argument that it makes sense for, imo. If I see someone bellow level 50 fighting for their life against some wolves, usually I jump in to help out. But if I saw that they had chosen a higher difficulty, I'd probably not want to interfere with what they're trying to experience.

    No one would have to wait if it was taking place in different instances based on difficulty. Unfortunately, they decided to place everyone together.

    And I agree with posters saying that it will bring unnecessary whispers. If people feel the need to whisper when they lose in ToT game, I bet it will be happening with displayed difficulty as well.
