Sovereign Sow pet parts

There needs to be better drop rates on the sovereign sow non combat pet fragment pieces. I did about 250 jester boxes last year and only got 3 out of the 7 required fragments to unlock the pet. For a while I have wanted the pet but kind of just gave up hope because the RNG was just so bad. Given that this pet is a several year old item, I believe it to be fair for us to purchase whatever individual fragments we need with event tickets via the merchant lady. This would help out a lot of players

New Rewards

On certain occasions, you can also find brand-new items in the Bazaar, most often associated with an upcoming event (which initially the Impresario will continue to offer). For example, in April, you can buy fragments for various Jester’s Festival-themed rewards. As a reminder, Trade Bars are completely replacing Event Tickets as an in-game currency.

In addition, previous ESO Plus membership monthly free items will also make their way to the Bazaar, although you still need to have an active membership to purchase those specific rewards.

We’ll share more about the Bazaar’s Season Zero rewards closer to their release in March.

I think that some things only accessible with RNG, should be fairly buyable as well. I got my whole sovereign sow last year (finally), and to what you are saying, it looks I was lucky, or at least, not unlucky.

In RNG, there's still a small chance that someone will never ever drop the thing, no matter how many he tries. This is verified by math. So it is totally fair that non-game changing things accessible only with RNG, can also be fairly buyable.

I like Jesters, Harlequins, Fools and Clowns. My main toon is made after The Fool from Robin Hobb's book series. Jesters Festival is my favourite event. Over the years I have opened hundreds and hundreds of those boxes.

I have one fragment.

I'm hoping items like fragments and such will also be going into the Gold Coast Bazaar. For sure stuff we could buy with tickets will be, because tickets are being replaced. But I'm hoping stuff that drops from boxes will also be there.

2nd fragment received last week but i have only one collected because i somehow lost one fragment (tiara) from 2017ish when it had to be carried in your inventory.

There have been many complaints and threads about this over the past years. I previously started 2 threads after going literally for years without getting a single fragment for this pig.

Last year they made it so we could get fragments from the purple coffers, too, and I finally got the last 2 fragments I needed. But it sounds like the drop rate is still too low.

It should be fun collecting these, not a huge frustration. Please increase the drop rate more and let players enjoy the experience.

As for my first reply above, I have 'one agree', so I see that people don't realize...

My added explanation:

...there was a graph in Diablo 3 forums several years ago, it shew that statistically, with RNG, items cannot be looted by '100%' of people.

So clearly, items should be buyable as well as being lootable. Always.

Increasing drop rates will add more people to the loot, but there will still be people who will NEVER loot some dude item.

...so there you go

In the meantime, loot purple boxes too, and pray RNJesus.

I also need ONE more part after daily participation with multiple toons for, I think, seven years now. I got no fragments for two years in a row. Got one fragment this year, so I know I've shot my RNG wad for probably another year or two. Don't have the daedroth suit either. It's a toss-up at this point whether a certain long-awaited fantasy game is actually ever released or I get that dang pig/suit.

I'm up to five of the seven fragments. It's only taken me five years and hundreds of boxes to get here. "There's always next year" isn't just for sports, I guess.

I'm not sure how I could make that claim any saltier and stay within community guidelines, but Morten's ought to be beating a path to my door any minute.

Managed to get 3 pieces so far this year (in addition to the solitary one I already had from several years of grinding).

Thought my luck was changing, but it is probably just that I had more time the last few days and had run 7 toons through all the dailies while I was off of work and able to spare the time.

Unfortunately, thanks to being back at work today, and now the extended maintenance, the number of toons I can run through the dailies is getting shorter and shorter, and it wasn't going to be that many in the first place.

Don't think I am going to get the little piggy this year now. *sobs*

So my update:

Like LouisaB75, I managed to get three fragments over the weekend.

Leaving me one fragment to get.

Since then... Nothing.

It's approximately 30 mins to do all Jester Events on one character, and I've been trying.

This morning, for this year's event, was my last throw of the dice.

Three and a half hours later, nope...

Gaming should be fun.

This is not.

A collectable should in fact be collectable.

I know some who have completed it.

I know many, after the introduction of this collectable who do not have it. Year after year after year...

After a 'shift' grinding trying to achieve this, I feel like walking away completely, as I don't want to be on ESO if a 'supposed' humourous, fun event does not fulfil it's objective.

I think this is my 5th Jesters event, going into it this year I had 5 parts of the pet and going out of it I have the same, not a single part dropped for me this year and its incredibly frustrating.
I'll be honest it isn't a pet I'm even that fond of, but it taking this long and such effort to complete, or in many cases not complete is just ridiculous.

This has gone on way too long. Just greatly increase the drop rate, or put the fragments for sale, or let them be earned by achievements, or all of the above, but no one should do the event and not get a single fragment.

I waited years before I got mine last year and could finally decorate Mathiisen Manor as the Princess Piggy Palace where she now rules. Others may have plans for this pig, too. Please fix this.

Hopefully in the future we can just buy sovereign sow fragments with gold satchels or whatever the new currency is called. It’s frustrating grinding the jesters festival year after year to not get a single fragment. Still sitting at 3/7 required fragments for the sovereign sow non combat pet.

I tried to do a few of the jester festival quests this year but just kind of lost my motivation when I kept getting duplicates for style pages I don’t even want or won’t ever use. It’s so frustrating that I can’t just buy the fragments from guild trader or use event tickets / gold satchels.
It’s a non combat pet, it shouldn’t be this hard to earn it after this long of a time

I stared after Jester's in 2021, so I guess this is the fourth year of Jester's for me. I got lucky this year and got two fragments, so only two left to go. Oddly, my alt account (which skipped a couple of those) hasn't picked up any in spite of jumping in with both feet this year and last.

I’m still getting joke popper parts and other things I already completed. I guess the pig parts don’t drop after completing that collectible. Why not? It would be the only one. At least that way they could be given away or sold in traders, you know like the minstrel cloth.

I agree the drop rate should be increased though, but there are plenty of other options. This is one long-running request that I can’t understand why it hasn’t been addressed.
