Bought Premium Tamruel Tome - been misled.

The good news is that now that you've bought it, you can earn your way through the pass at any rate you want. You'll get Tome Points naturally by just playing the game, and eventually that will net you the mounts.

This is why they refer to it as a 'battlepass-like' system... 'like' but different. In other games I've played, the battlepass could be unlocked either by playing- or - by paying to unlock. With New World, I could unlock the items on the entire battlepass on day one if I wanted to just buy everything outright, I believe other battlepass systems are like this as well. However, here is the difference with ESO versus other games... in other games, the battlepass was ONLY available during the season, once the season ended, the battlepass and all items in it were gone. So if you came into the season late and wanted a high tier item, but didn't want to pay to catch-up, then you would lose the ability to earn it when the season ended. With ESO, if you buy the premium version, you are buying the ability to earn rewards from that 'tome' for as long as it you want to take, there is no 'losing' the ability to earn it once the season ends.

They should just scrap the earn 20000 tome points to unlock all the pages, they already have the divide between free and premium unlocks, just let people earn the points towards unlocking the stuff they actually want from among the pages.

Should make no difference if someone wants to spend the first few hundred or thousand points they earn on page 1 or page 10 or the bonus pages, if they want a lot of stuff they are going to have to earn a lot of points if they only want a few things that should be there choice to make.

I have read everything about this whatever you want to call it instead of a season. Those I understood. I paid for a zone and proceeded from there. Last year and whats happening now is completely bewildering.

I think it's best to hold onto to your money till you see how this plays out. It is so new it is bound to have worms.

I feel the same way, I was looking for the new mount and was surprised to see I had to do all this leg work to get it after I just paid 30. Very miss leading.....
