Mine seems to be calculating properly since yesterday's patch. I had 1 as I subscribe monthly, and got 2 more in the patch as I started subscribing just before the new year started.

I've had monthly eso+ that renews on the 7th of every month for years now. Got today (couldn't log in yesterday following the maintenance so missed 300 trade bars as well), 3 premium tome tokens and 3 caches of tome points. (Xbox - EU)
Should (I am assuming) get one on or just after the 7th of April, and so on until I cancel or ZOS make changes themselves.
It's easier to see if monthly, it just gets a bit messy where people have longer accounts that cross over either from 2025/2026 or 2026/2027.

I do think too many currencies though. I'm with Four_Fingers there.

Though I'd add to this. The officers of my guild and gm, we're all monthly subs. I got 3, 2 people got 2 and one got 5. This probably should've been figured out and it's worrying that Kevin doesn't seem to know what's going on.

I have contacted customer support two days ago. First, I received a standard message explaining how the amount of tokens and caches are calculated, which wasn't helpful as I already knew that. So I replied again explaining that based on the rules the sent me I ought to have 9 premium tokens and 9 caches. Yesterday, I informed me that my ticket has been escalated to a specialist. I hope they will fix this soon.

Has any one who didn't get the correct amount of tokens and caches already received the missing amount of tokens and caches? All I know is that since my ticket has been escalated to.a specialist, but since then no progress.

How do we calculate by the rules they sent you? They said January but then I thought they said they would go back further. Even if it's January, mine is wrong but by too much. This is confusing.

If they said they would go back further then I didn't get near enough. But I understand exactly ZERO of what is going on is this game now I have little hope of anything good happening.

One thing I am sure of is that I am not spending another penny on this game in the near future, perhaps never.

My 2 accounts with + have worked perfectly

My PS which has a monthly sub has 3 of each (cache and token) for Jan, Feb, Mar with the April one not started yet

My PC had a 6 month sub renew in Feb (forgot to cancell it!) and has 7 of each, 1 for Jan from the old sub and 6 with the new

So sometime July they'll both have 7 which is what they promised

    The start was January 1.

Every full month you are subscribed since Jan 1 should give you one Cache and one Token. If your sub runs until e.g. July 29, that means you get 6 (one each for Jan-Jun, and July is not awarded since it is not a full month.

I guess I had it wrong. That would explain maybe why I have 3 tokens but the other officers in guild have 2, my renew may have already happened this month and theirs didn't perhaps.

It's kind of weird they're doing it by full months since it's not how it's sold.

It should just go by what you purchased. You bought a 1-month sub? 1 token. You bought a year sub? 12 tokens. Why make it confusing and difficult?

I play on both servers on PS4. I renew my ESO+ annually (for twelve months) each August. I have received 3 Premium Tome Tokens and 3 Caches of Tome Points on each server. Is this for January, February and March of this year? Why haven't I received April, May, June and July since I have already paid for those complete months?

    Please clarify @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin

Yeah this is how it should work. Since this is *the* new revenue stream, it should've been as clear as possible and erred on the generous side. Obviously they wouldn't give you tokens for all the concurrent months people have been subbed. Some of us have been subbed for 11 years or more, uninterrupted. They probably should've gone back further than January though.

Count me as another person who received an incorrect amount of tokens & caches. I purchase ESO+ as a yearly subscription, with my renewal in March. By my count, I should have gotten 14 tokens & 14 caches, but I was only given 2 of each.

I opened a ticket, but last I heard was a couple days ago where they were "escalating" my ticket "to a specialized team." Ticket #260331-003603 if anyone at Zos wants to take a look.

For every ticket you submit, you'll get an email to which you have to reply with more details, else it's closed automatically after a few days.

I used the I didn't get crowns option as that was closest according to me.

I have three accounts with ESO+, all of them renewed annually.

One is due for renewal in Nov '26, got 10 caches/tokens
Another is due for renewal in Dec '26, got 11 caches/tokens
3rd one is due for renewal in Aug '26, got 7 caches/tokens

So I got one cache/token for every full month in 2026 with an active ESO+ subscription.

Hopefully that might shed some light on the matter?

EDIT: Reworded the post because the way I worded it before made no sense, apologies, just woke up from a siesta.

EDIT #2: Now that I am fully awake I have realised that it was still poorly worded and misleading. Hope this is the last edit

Form what I understand, that's how it's going to work for any subs purchased after the currencies are implemented. If you buy a month now, you should get the Crowns and the one Cache.

That conversion is just what they had since they had to pick a start date.

Ah. Okay. That makes way more sense. I probably would have chosen November 1st as the starting date though. You got a bunch of people who now thinks it's a bad idea to buy stuff from ESO during the holiday season. Doesn't seem like that's a good impression to leave to save giving out a couple of tokens. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah, same thing. Have been a monthly ESO+ subscriber for about 50 months in a row. Not a single month gap in between, automatic payments so all goes directly. Still, got 3 tokens.

My yearly sub ended on march 30th. I received to tokens which feels like only january and february were taken into account. Did I miss out on the third token because of having no sub on the last day of march?

Yes. Though it's not clear if the same thing would have happened if your sub ended May 30, since they haven't specified if the months are calendar months or 30 day periods, but it comes out the same for you since February has 28 days, so Mar 30 is the 90th day of the year.

    Hi everyone,

Thank you for sharing your questions with us about how Premium Tome Tokens and Caches of Tome Points are determined for ESO Plus subscription time. Below is a summary of how this works, plus an explanation of how we handled this before Season Zero launched.

As a rule, you will receive 1 Cache of Tome Points and 1 Premium Tome Token per month of ESO Plus.
Before we get into more, we do want to note that our Support team has been checking through accounts for the folks in this thread, and we are seeing a few oddities with some PlayStation accounts that we are investigating. So, ultimately, if you believe you have not gotten what you should, please reach out to our Support team and we’ll take a look.

Before Season Zero Launched on April 2, 2026
Before Season Zero launched, we knew we wanted to give some “back rewards” for our ESO Plus subscribers. As described here, we awarded 1 Cache of Tome Points and 1 Premium Tome Token per month of subscribed ESO Plus with a starting point of January 2026.
    • For players who had an active multi-month ESO Plus subscription that was purchased before January 2026 and active between January 2026 and March 9, 2026, we awarded 1 Cache of Tome Points and 1 Premium Tome Token per month of subscribed ESO Plus for every month from January 2026 onwards. So, if you started a 6-month ESO Plus subscription in November 2025, for example, you would have gotten 4 Caches of Tome Points and 4 Premium Tome Tokens. These were awarded on March 30, 2026.
    • For players who purchased a new ESO Plus membership from March 9, 2026, onwards, we awarded 1 Cache of Tome Points and 1 Premium Tome Token per month subscribed at the point of purchase. In this example, if you purchased a new ESO Plus membership on March 10, 2026, you would have rewards for either 1 month, 6 months, or 12 months now, depending on which ESO Plus subscription package you chose.
It’s also possible for someone to have done a combination of both above, if they had an active ESO Subscription in January and February, then renewed on or after March 9, 2026.

One additional detail is that different platforms define “monthly” timing a little differently. We recognize this is a bit confusing and, unfortunately, it’s not something we control. For example, in the ESO store and account system, we define a month as exactly 30 days and our renewals happen on that cadence. We recommend checking with the platform you purchase your ESO Plus subscription on for the exact details, as this could result in some minor differences in who gets their monthly rewards when for recurring or renewed subscriptions.

From Season Zero Launch on April 2, 2026, Onward
From here on out, ESO Plus seasonal rewards will be granted at the point of purchase just like crowns do. For every month of ESO Plus, you will receive 1 Cache of Tome Points and 1 Premium Tome Token. We have also updated our ESO Plus page with this info. Just note the “how is a month defined” detail above, as it can and does vary a little by platform.

    Thank you, everyone!

In my case, it’s a bit different, because I didn’t pay for my ESO+ subscriptions (at least the most recent ones); I received them as prizes from the ESO Stream Team on Twitch. If that doesn’t count, then you’ve literally cheated the people who received their ESO+ subscriptions in this way.
