why is my ultimate disapeiring all the time?

i get the ultimate charged up and prepared for a boss fight or just for an escape use or w/e and within just a few moments its gone. disapiered. it's not staying full charge and just goes to zero charge.

why, is this a bug? or is this intentional?

If you leave combat for more than 5 minutes your ultimate resets to 0.

I think that is a horrible game mechanic if it is intended. Once it's full it should stay full until used. It is not helpful to go into a boss fight and suddenly realize the utlimate is empty.

It's for PvP purposes so a player can't go farm a bunch of mobs and then open an encounter rocking the opposition or a solo player with an ultimate.

As usual PvP reasons affect PvE and vice versa.

unbelievable.

and basicly the ultimate i use is the invisibility morphed escape vampire. it simply lets me escape and is no harm to anyone. but yet its removed after a few minutes of no combat. i realy cant understand the hate by the very people who developed nightblades duel wield hate thier own created class and made so we are simply targets in both pve and pvp. just cant win. i do sometimes win but it's only in the 30 - 40% range and usualy if im with a healer or the enemy is not very hard to kill. i allways play assasin type duel wield and invisibility and escape if need. but this is just, idk

your ultimate should be built up and remain there usable untill you use it. the ultimate should never disapier untill its used.

I would be satisfied if it was simply consistent. Disappear on timer, stay indefinitely, degrade over time.

LOL, heck I end up using my ult when I try to loot a corpse, I have even changed that R to another key, it keeps resetting.

The ULT reset has to be the worse change to date. Everyone has the ability to grind mobs if they choose to do so.. Hell it takes 5 minutes just to walk back to the fight is you die..

Fight 3 people. Don't use ULT. Die. Walk back, still can't use ULT because the damn thing reset! This is simply ignorant.

How does resetting when out of combat really prevent that. Just need to kill the mobs within 5 minutes of attacking someone, right? Not much of a prevention considering what a pain it is to the average PVE player.

It does, I've had it reset just as I was engaging a boss. Or after I zone or way shrine.

I think that makes sense; why should your 'superpower' still be available if you haven't been in combat for a while?

Don't you think its normal to die regularly when tackling 3 creatures? Or do you want to just be able to mow through everything hassle free?

Perhaps bosses should die of fear just at the sight of you and drop all their loot at your feet..

I have to disagree; while yes it can be annoying to lose your Ultimate it really doesn't take a lot to build; and having never reset would make the gameplay that much easier for combat. Honestly why do we need the combat to be easier? I know some people have run into issues where they die a lot; but that is easily remedied by a better understanding of leveling and zones. If anything we need some balancing to the combat, in-particularly for Veteran levels.
