Vote for kick or Co-leader role in Trials group.

Maybe someone has already mentioned this, but after yesterday’s incident in trials with a few random players in group I’d like to bring it up again.

The option for a group leader to directly kick players from a trials group should be removed. There really needs to be a vote-to-kick system, similar to what we have in dungeons. This would prevent situations where the group leader crashes, the crown gets assigned to a random player, and that player starts kicking people at the end of the trial just to bring in their friends.

Alternatively, you could add a co-leader role for trials. If the group leader crashes, the co-leader would automatically take over instead of leadership going to a random troll.

Of course the leader of a trial group should be able to kick people, it's their group. I can't imagine how tedious it could become to organize and lead a trial where we have to hold votes to kick a player who's not cooperating.

Vote kick is used in fully random groups created by the dungeon finder. There is nothing comparable for trials.

Normal dungeon groups that are pre-formed and not randomly assigned do not have a vote-to-kick mechanism.

Perhaps what's needed is a vote-to-assign-leader system if the group leader leaves or crashes, or a co-leader role as suggested. But I wouldn't hold my breath for zos to address this. Any system could be open to abuse in some way... for example with a vote system if someone has enough friends in the group, they can't be kicked or they can gang up on others.

Such are the woes of playing with random strangers I suppose.

Yeah, it's very fun when group leader crashes at final boss of trial like vDSR etc, where we were going almost perfectly and random kicks half of a group to invite their friends...DEVS definitely need to do something with this, but including situation that support ignores mass reports to players like this and answering only - it was determined that no violation of the ZeniMax Terms of Service or Code of Conduct occurred. They would not do anything...BUT THIS WAS DEFINITELY VIOLATION OF THIS:

Engage in disruptive behavior in chat areas, game areas, forums, or any other area or aspect of the Services. Examples of disruptive behavior include, but are not limited to, conduct which interferes with the normal flow of gameplay or dialogue within a Service, vulgar language, abusiveness, hitting the return key repeatedly or inputting large images so the screen goes by too fast to read, use of excessive shouting (i.e., all text in capitals) in an attempt to disturb other users, "spamming" or flooding (i.e., posting repetitive text), commercial postings, solicitations and advertisements, posting advertising or promotional messaging, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or other commercial activities.
