What's happening with the next BG "weekend" event?

Is there any news on the next BG "weekend" event @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ?

They are usually once a month and the last one was about a month ago, so we should be due one. I've not seen any word on the next one, unless I have missed the announcement. The BG community is pretty hyped about 4v4v4 returning for the next event (even if it is going to be Domination :P ).

As we usually plan some of our own guild events around the BG weekends, having some info on the next one would be much appreciated. Is it still scheduled for the next week or two like usual, or has reinstating 3-team BGs caused some delays?

By the way, thanks for extending the events by 2 days as of last month, making it a full BG week, Wednesday to Wednesday... will this be the norm going forward? And if so is there any consideration on renaming the events? The last one wasn't advertised as a weekend in promotional material but still showed up as a "weekend event" in game, even though it lasted 7 days.

Thanks for your time.

No BG event announced in the roadmap again this month... @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_JessicaFolsom is anyone able to confirm whether this means it'll be at least another 5 weeks until the much anticipated 4v4v4 BG event? Is there any reason why its being pushed back another month?

Missed that, nice one, appreciate the assist. April 22nd is a bit of a wait but better than nothing!

As others noted above, it is in the article. We just didn't want to cram the graphic with too much.

Hi Kevin, thanks for the response. The article doesn't mention it being 4v4v4, but we were told BG "weekends" would be 4v4v4 after u49... is that still true?

And not to bother you with too much at once... but is there any consideration from the team to rename the "weekend" events to something else? We always thought it was strange it was called a weekend when it lasted five days and now its being extended to 7 days (no complaints about that btw, especially if the 4v4v4 games will be returning for a whole week every month) it does seem even stranger to call it a weekend lol

They're usually announced in the Survival Guides, but the last one was the DM weekend that ended on Mar 4. No more are planned for this month. We'll have to wait for the next month's guide (probably will post next week) to see.

The end of March/beginning of April does tend to have a lot going on - Jester's is only a week long and that rides right into the Anniversary event, and on top of that this year we've got Season 0 starting on the 2nd and the Gold Coast Bazaar's starting up on the 25th. In addition, we should be seeing the U50 PTS going up sometime around the 6th plus/minus a week.

Ye the last one ended in March but it did start in February. The BG events run monthly, usually every 4-6 weeks (apart from once it was 3 weeks, and then during the release of 2-team BGs in U44 the deathmatch weekend was delayed by a month, making it a 9-week gap). The last one started February 25th, so the next one is due anywhere between March 25th and April 8th. You are right that they are announced in the Survival Guides, and this month's didn't include one. That's why I was hoping to catch someone from ZOS to provide some info rather than waiting a week or so for the next guide. The team have said after u49 they would be reintroducing 4v4v4 BGs for the events, whether this might cause delays or not, I couldn't say. The 5-day "weekend" events had an extra 2 days added making them a full week long, I'm also wondering if that is going to be a regular thing and if it might effect the cadence of the BG events.

If the next event started by April 8th, it would still be in the regular 4-6 week time frame. I'm hoping that is the case and we aren't facing another elongated wait and a missed month like September '24. It's not a game-breaking issue or anything, but there is genuine hype around getting to play the old maps again.

As it was mentioned in the latest patch notes, these will called Battleground Spotlights from now on:

So they do. Thanks for pointing that out. Its wierd that the survival guide was calling it a "weekend mini-event" then.

So now the only question I have is: are the Battleground Spotlight events going to be 4v4v4 as we were told they would be after u49?
